While we regret missing our May anniversaries, there's not a better day to celebrate Anna than Flag Day! Anna M. MacLeod, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Anna M. MacLeod PA-C joined Blue Water Counseling on May 25, 2021. She earned a Master of Science in Medicine, Physician Assistant Studies at Western Michigan University in 2016 and a Bachelor of Health Care Administration from Baker College in 2010. Captain MacLeod is a member of the Air Force Reserves. She has been working in the medical field in various capacities since 2006; most recently, since 2017, she worked in an Emergency Room with Greater Midland Emergency Physicians. In the Emergency Room, Anna gained experience working with psychiatric patients by completing assessments, making admissions for inpatient care, transferring to other services and coordinating outpatient followup.

Saying no is never easy, but sometimes it's necessary! Remember that we don't have to apologize when saying no, and we don't have to explain ourselves! It's all about being assertive, setting appropriate boundaries for ourselves, and making sure that we've got our own back!

Please join us in celebrating Margaret today, who just had her two year employment anniversary with Blue Water Counseling! However, Margaret actually began her time with BWC as our MSW intern, so we've had the pleasure of working with her for three years! Thanks for your dedication, Margaret!

Nicklaus Kaiser(he/him) joined Blue Water Counseling in 2026. Nicklaus grew up in the Port Huron area and has dedicated his career to helping others in every way possible. He graduated from Oakland University with his Masters of Social Work (MSW) in 2023. He is currently licensed in the state of Michigan with his Masters of Social Work (LLMSW). He currently works with adults and children of all ages. Nicklaus has been working in the mental health field since 2018 in various roles and has specific experience in therapy practice with all ages. His therapeutic style is sincere, supportive and engaged.

His areas of expertise and interest include but are not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Disorders and Stress Management.
