TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE IN LEO TODAY 🦁🔥

Today’s eclipse feels like an invitation back to the heart.

Leo reminds us of the part of ourselves that came here to create, to love, to play, to express, and to be fully seen.

But many of us learned somewhere along the way that being fully ourselves wasn’t always safe.

So we became smaller.
Quieter.
More agreeable.

We learned to perform, people-please, overgive, or hide pieces of ourselves in order to belong.

This eclipse is asking us to release everything we learned to be in order to survive — so we can return to who we were before we learned to abandon ourselves.

Where have I been dimming my light to make others comfortable?
What part of me is ready to be seen again?
What would it look like to lead my life from my heart instead of from fear?

Eclipses remind us that the initiation is in the surrender.
Letting an old identity die and an old story close.

Trusting the space between who you have been and who you are becoming.
May this eclipse illuminate what is ready to be released and awaken the courage to walk toward what feels true.

There is something incredibly sacred that happens when women gather with the intention of honoring another woman.

I recently the privilege of holding space during a Mother’s Blessing, celebrating a woman as she prepares to step into one of life’s greatest initiations: motherhood. It was a reminder that we were never meant to walk these transitions alone.

As a therapist, I have the honor of witnessing healing through words.

As a sound healer, I get to witness healing that goes beyond words—through vibration, presence, ritual, and the simple act of being deeply held in community.

To be able to offer both feels like such a gift, and one I never take for granted.

There is a kind of magic that unfolds when women gather to bless, witness, pray for, and uplift one another.. We remember that our milestones deserve to be honored in a sacred way.

To me, this is the Wise Woman’s Path… remembering that healing, transformation, and initiation happen in relationship, in community, and in sacred sisterhood.

We spend so much time trying to think our way out of stress.

But stress lives in the body.

When we’re overwhelmed, our nervous system often responds by contracting. Our shoulders tighten. Our chest closes. Our breath becomes shallow. We begin holding on without even realizing it.

This simple somatic practice is an invitation to do the opposite.

As you inhale, wrap your arms around yourself and gently acknowledge everything you’ve been carrying.

As you exhale, open your arms wide and imagine releasing what no longer needs to stay in your body.

You don’t have to force yourself to “feel better.” You simply have to create enough safety for your body to begin letting go.

Try this for a few breaths today and notice what shifts.

Save this for the next time your nervous system needs a little extra care, and send it to someone who might be feeling overwhelmed today.

They may need this reminder more than you know.

The mind can understand the wound.
But the body is where it lives.

Healing that only happens in your head is half a map.

The work I’m called to do lives in the space between where Western psychology meets indigenous wisdom, where nervous system teachings interweave with ceremony, and the body becomes the bridge between the mind and heart.

This really isn’t anything new. It’s something that has been known for generations in indigenous lineages.

Right now we are in an era of remembering what was stripped from us during centuries of colonization.

The future of healing looks like coming home to ALL the parts of who you are. Especially the parts we’ve repressed, shut down or forgotten.

Your nervous system was never meant to live in survival mode 24/7.

Sound has a way of bringing us back to ourselves…
Back to the body.
Back to the breath.
Back to stillness.

I used to think I just wasn’t good at meditating…
It was so hard for me to sit still in silence for longer than 10 minutes.
And honestly… it made me feel defeated.

Until I received a teaching in ceremony that changed everything for me…
I was reminded that my ancestors didn’t pray in silence.
They prayed with song
With dance
With movement
With vibration

That’s when I realized that there wasn’t anything wrong with me…
I was just trying to connect in a way that wasn’t natural to my spirit.

I remember that for me:
Singing is my prayer
Movement is my meditation
Music is how I meet my Creator

The medicine of the flute… truly changed my life and was the first step on this path of remembrance.

The moment I feel that vibration move through my body,
I drop into calm… into presence… into something sacred.

There isn’t one way to connect to the divine.
There’s your way.

And sometimes… your way is written in your lineage,
in the memory of your abuelos,
in the rhythm your body already knows.
If something in your heart felt this…

Our ancestors knew how to work with the earth in order to heal our minds and bodies.

I feel that we are now awakening to these ancient ways of healing and learning to integrate these tools into modern life .

The plants of our earth are our guides and teachers…

Chamomile to soften and open the heart

To***co for prayer, protection, and clarity

When we sit with these plants in a respectful way,
they begin to reveal what we’ve been too afraid to face on our own.

The grief we’ve buried
The truth we’ve silenced
The parts of ourselves we’ve abandoned

to help us integrate and heal gently, over time

The plants walk with us and we can begin to build a relationship with them as living beings and great teachers.

They protect
They guide
They bring you back into relationship with yourself..

I’ve been dreaming of this and it’s finally here!

I am SO excited to announce that I will be offering a 2-hour native flute workshop that goes far beyond the basics.This will be an in person event where we will get the opportunity to gather in community to learn and play together.

The flute has been such a nourishing medicine in my own personal life, one that has helped me to develop a deeper meditation practice, and been such a support in ceremonies, diets in the jungle, and honestly just in life in general.

This is an invitation to meet a sacred tool, one that has been used across cultures and centuries as medicine for the spirit, a bridge between the body and the divine, and a pathway back to yourself.

We will learn together how sound and breath can regulate our nervous system, anchor us in the present moment, and become an ally in our spiritual practice.

Somewhere along the way, we learned that keeping the peace was the safest thing that we could do.

And so what happens is that the pattern continues into our adulthood.

People pleasing is simply a protective response that comes online when we feel threatened.

And you can’t willpower your way out of a wound.

What actually breaks the cycle is learning to feel safe enough to choose yourself — in your body, not just your mind.

That’s the work. And it changes everything.

Our grandmothers and mothers were taught to hold their pain in their bodies…
To not be burdens,
To smile, and keep it all together for the family
To be the light for everyone else.

And so we did too —we learned to smile, laugh things off, and keep our secrets, sadness, shame, deep inside.
But that’s not healing. That’s surviving in isolation.

Real healing happens when another woman looks at you and says me too. When you don’t have to explain yourself.
When you’re finally witnessed.
Sisterhood and community is the most powerful container for transformation there is.
