Today, Service Coordination, Inc. joins communities across the country in recognizing Patriot Day and honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We hold in our hearts the individuals, families, first responders, and communities forever impacted by that day.

As we remember, we are reminded of the power of compassion, connection, and service and of our shared responsibility to create communities where every person feels supported, valued, and cared for.

A sweet celebration made even more meaningful! We purchased a beautiful custom cake from Sunflower Bakery in Rockville to recognize SCI's 20th anniversary at our Board Orientation last week.

Sunflower Bakery is more than a bakery; they are a mission-driven nonprofit creating pathways to employment for young adults and teens with learning differences through hands-on training in pastry arts, culinary arts, hospitality, and related industries. We are grateful to recognize this milestone with a local organization doing such meaningful work in our community.

Today, SCI brought together new and current members of our Board of Directors, our Executive Team, and members of our Senior Leadership Team for a daylong Board Orientation meeting focused on how SCI works today and how we are positioned for tomorrow.
