Our Turkey Trot 5K to 10K Training starts in one week!

This is a 12-week training program that begins on September 1, 2026, at 6 a.m. (weekly). Focusing on taking 5K runners to a 10K in time for the Tamarac Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.

To sign up, email [email protected]. Sign-ups close on August 25 at 5 p.m.

Must be registered for the Turkey Trot 10K prior to starting the program.

The 2nd Annual Tamarac Triathlon drew athletes from across the Midwest!

Congratulations to the 83 athletes that gathered on Saturday, August 15 to compete. Participants came from all over Michigan, and as far away as North Dakota, Kentucky, Illinois, and Kansas.

The event's success was made possible through the support of many community partners, including Newaygo County Emergency Response Services, the Fremont Police and Fire Departments, the Newaygo County Sheriff's Office, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Newaygo Nationals, and the City of Fremont.

A dedicated team of volunteers also played a critical role throughout the day, assisting with registration, course support, hydration stations, finish-line activities, and athlete encouragement.

Thank you to everyone that made this event so successful!
