GREAT SCOTT! ⚡

While our Fremont Heartland Hospice team is pretty magical, we have to admit a small confession: our Flux Capacitor is completely out of Plutonium.😬
Actually, as it turns out, our standard-issue hospice vehicles aren't even equipped with Flux Capacitors, so we can’t travel back in time to change the past, nor can we speed into the future to see what’s ahead.

But here is what we can do:

🕰We can be fully present right now. We focus on making today as comfortable, peaceful, and meaningful as possible for your loved ones.

🏎We will rush to your side. If you need us, our incredible nurses will be there at 88 mph... or, you know, exactly whatever the posted speed limit is. (Safety first, Doc!)

🧭We provide the ultimate support system. You don't have to navigate this road alone.

Let’s hear it for the real MVPs—it’s CNA Week! ✨

If Heartland Hospice Fremont were a marathon, our CNAs would be the ones running it in high-tops while carrying everyone’s snacks. They are the absolute backbone of our team, and let’s be real—they’re basically superheroes, just with better scrubs and way more patience!

Our CNAs are the ones out there every day doing the hard work with a smile, bringing the best vibes, and making sure our patients feel like royalty. From the extra-special care to the "you’ve got this" pep talks, they do it all with a heart of gold and a little bit of pluck.

It is hard to believe it’s been over a decade, but this month we’re celebrating Dr. Vanwingen’s 11th anniversary as our Medical Director here at Heartland Hospice Fremont! 🩺❤️

If you know Dr. Vanwingen, you know he’s truly the best. He’s the kind of leader who always has his door open and actually listens to his staff. Whether he’s walking us through a tough clinical situation or just providing that extra bit of compassionate support when we need it most, he makes sure we never feel like we’re doing this work alone.

Celebrating 9 Years of Andrea! 💙

It's a big day here at Heartland Hospice Fremont as we celebrate a very special milestone for our Executive Director, Andrea, RN! 🥂

Andrea has been the heartbeat of this office for 9 years, and she's truly done it all. From her days out in the field as an RN Case Manager to leading the way as our Sr. Patient Care Manager, she has brought so much heart and expertise to every single role.

Now, as our Executive Director, she continues to go above and beyond with that same "tireless" energy we all know and love. We are so incredibly thankful for her dedication—not just to our patients, but to every single member of this team. We wouldn't be the same without her!

On May 19th, Brittany M celebrated one year of incredible service as our On-Call Nurse!

The on-call role is the backbone of hospice care—requiring a nurse to be ready at a moment's notice, often in the middle of the night, to ensure our patients are never alone. It takes immense dedication to trade a traditional schedule for a life of "readiness" to help others in their time of need.
