Holistic Wellness Program We provide culturally and linguistically relevant activities, education, training, and linkage.

VISION:
We envision that our center will convene diverse groups of people and cultures who together will teach and support one another to achieve overall holistic mental health wellness and recovery. We are staffed with diverse Cultural Brokers who speak Spanish, Hmong, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Lao, Thai, Khmer, and English. WHAT WE DO:
We provide culturally and linguistically appropriate education, training, and linkage services to
un-served and undeserved individuals and families who may not typically seek traditional Western (clinically based) mental health services.

Today, the Holistic Wellness Program observed DĂa de los Mu***os to honor, remember, and welcome back the spirits of our deceased loved ones. Following our initial gathering with clients, we extended the celebration by bringing the parade to the Fresno Center ADHC.
It was a deeply meaningful occasion. Notably, one of our Hmong clients shared that it was their best experience in America. It was an incredible honor for our team to participate and bring the community together for this event.

Core Reasons for the Celebration
• Reuniting with Loved Ones: Celebrated every November 1st and 2nd, the holiday is based on the belief that the boundary between the physical world and the spirit world opens up. Souls temporarily return to Earth to feast, dance, and spend time with family.
Celebrating Life, Not Death: Rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions (such as those of the Aztecs and Nahua people), death is viewed as a natural continuation of the life cycle rather than a final end.

Thank you for your continued support.

The creators of Kool Breeze Solar Hats are expanding their mission through their foundation, Hats By Me, which supports those impacted by cancer.

Today, Dr. Vernice Nellon ("Dr. V"), known for her generous support, visited the Healing Garden at The Holistic Wellness Program. She kindly donated a Solar Hat to recognize James Vang for his dedicated work tending to the Healing Garden.

We are deeply grateful for your kindness, Dr. V. We look forward to collaborating with the Hats By Me Foundation to continue supporting our hard workers and those in recovery.

The Holistic Wellness Program hosted a "YOU MATTER" Purse and Backpack drive to support our unhoused community. We started this campaign to provide emotional support, information on critical resources, and self-care items to people living on the streets. Through our continued visibility, we have built trust and grown within the community, earning a reputation for delivering much-needed items. We are proud to be a trusted resource and to share our support with those in need.
Thanks to the generosity of our TFC family, we provided purses and backpacks filled with snacks, water, fresh fruit, and personal care items. Seeing their smiles confirmed that a little "HOPE" was delivered in each bag.
A small act of kindness creates a powerful ripple effect, lifting spirits and improving both mental and physical well-being.

Physical Activity Boosts Brain Health
Come join our Latin Zumba classes every Monday and Friday at 8am-9am at the Holistic Wellness Program main space. October is a active month with Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence, Emotional Wellness awareness and many highlighted activities.
Physical activity can help you think, learn, problem-solve, and enjoy an emotional balance. It can improve memory and reduce anxiety or depression.

Regular physical activity can also improve signs of brain health, and short bursts of physical activity can boost brain functions such as memory and thinking skills.
Prevention
There's no sure way to prevent mental illness. However, if you have a mental illness, taking steps to control stress, to increase your resilience and to boost low self-esteem may help keep your symptoms under control.

Follow these steps:
Pay attention to warning signs.Get help when you need it. Mental health conditions can be harder to treat if you wait until symptoms get bad.

🎉Oktoberfest & Mental Health 🎉
It’s October, and Oktoberfest is in full swing! Did you know that cultural celebrations and social festivals can have a positive impact on mental well-being? 🤎 Laughter, dancing, and shared traditions release “feel-good” hormones like dopamine and oxytocin, reducing stress and fostering connection. Celebrating with colleagues or community members can help strengthen relationships and promote emotional resilience. Take a moment to embrace community and joy this October—it’s good for your mind and soul. 🌿✨
When thinking about October, we often picture cozy sweaters, pumpkins on porches, and the first crisp days of fall. But October is also a month filled with reminders about mental health. Across the U.S. and around the world, this season highlights depression, ADHD, bullying prevention, domestic violence, and emotional wellness.
