Link Care strives to help our clients face life's issues and challenges so they can be more effective in life and ministry. Since 1965, Link Care Center's dedicated Christian counselors have cared for missionaries, pastors, Christian workers and their families, and people in our community in a non-judgmental environment. We provide care for the health and growth of the entire person, including psychological, emotional, intellectual, familial, cultural, and spiritual dimensions. Our highly skilled and professionally trained team of therapists and pastoral counselors are equipped to help individuals with ministry and work problems, marriage and family challenges, and personality related issues. We serve both Christian and non-Christian clients throughout the Central Valley and Missions agencies all over the world. Link Care Center is a non-profit Christian Counseling Center that is located in Fresno, California, at 1734 West Shaw Avenue.

Pastors carry stories they cannot tell, weights they rarely name, and questions they cannot ask their own congregations. Pastor Appreciation Month is a good reminder that the people who care for our souls often need someone to care for theirs.

Appreciation is more than a card in the pew rack. It looks like protected time off. It looks like a church budget line for counseling and continuing care.

Depression can be hard to name, especially when you have been taught to press through. But depression is not a lack of faith. It is a real condition that responds to real care.

This Depression Awareness Month, we want to make it easier to notice what your mind and body may be trying to tell you. If several of these signs have shown up and stayed, that is worth paying attention to.

You can pray and go to therapy. You can rest and take medication. Faith does not compete with care. It welcomes it.

Behind every mission field is a person carrying both calling and cost. Missionaries become the ones others lean on and often forget they need someone to lean on too.

This Missionary Appreciation Month, we want to name what often goes unsaid. Ministry burnout is real. Third-culture grief is real. And so is the quiet permission to rest, to grieve, and to be cared for.

Link Care exists because those who serve deserve support too. Whoever you are and wherever you serve, you do not have to carry it alone.

The clocks have not fallen back yet, but your body already knows. Darker mornings. Earlier tired. Motivation that will not quite catch.

One of the simplest habits for fall mood: step outside within an hour of waking and let natural light in for ten to fifteen minutes. Coffee on the porch counts. A slow walk counts. It helps set your internal clock and gently lifts mood on the days it needs lifting.

If the heaviness stays no matter what you try, that is worth a conversation. We are here when you are ready.

Growth doesn't stop at the leadership level.

Last week, our CEO Lisa Basile attended Week 2 of the Redemptive Impact Accelerator through Fresno Pacific University's Center for Community Transformation, a four-week program for nonprofit leaders across the Fresno area.

This course’s focus is Redemptive Strategy, "What We Build." It's a chance to reflect on the programs we offer and consider how we serve people with greater intention.

Learning, connecting, and collaborating with other nonprofit leaders is time well spent. We're grateful for the chance to keep growing in service of our mission.

Starting counseling is a brave step. Insurance should not be the thing that stops you.

Before your first session, call the member services number on the back of your card. Ask four questions: Is outpatient mental health covered? What is my copay? Have I met my deductible? Do I need a referral?

Write down the answers and the reference number for the call. Five minutes now saves surprises later. If you have questions about coverage at Link Care, our team is glad to walk you through it.
