👁No previous experience required, as it is on the job training.
👁Growth opportunities:
1. There are certifications you are eligible to sit for after a year at the office and Blue Ridge covers the cost of those examinations and study material.
2. Cross training throughout the practice can be an option.
👁4 day work week which allows a 3 day weekend!

‼️With bittersweet feelings we announce that Dr. Tom Schell is leaving our team here at Blue Ridge Eye Care.
This was a very hard decision for him to make, but ultimately it is the best decision for him and his family, as he will be taking a position closer to home working with Veterans at the VA hospital. Being a Vet himself, this is a wonderful opportunity!
We are incredibly happy for him, but will miss him very much around the office!!
His last day will be Friday, August 21st 2026.

We are working hard behind the scenes to come up with a game plan on how to change the schedule and accommodate moving patients as best as possible.
If you have an appointment with Dr. Schell after his departure date, you will be contacted very soon about switching to one of our other doctors and in some cases changing the day, though, we are trying hard to just move patients over to another doctor.
Thank you for your attention on this matter and your understanding as we navigate this change.
