👩‍🍳 There has been lots of delicious fun at Ashton Grove!

Our community has been busy cooking up a storm with a variety of hands-on culinary activities. During our Calling All Bakers program, residents made homemade chicken salad, and later our Reflections and Assisted Living residents teamed up with the wonderful folks from EmpowerMe Wellness to create tasty strawberry trifles. 🍓✨

From mixing and preparing to sampling the finished creations, there were plenty of smiles—and plenty of yum!

Our residents got a little crafty this week and turned ordinary clothespins into beautiful candle holders! 🕯️✨

The creativity and attention to detail made each one unique, and they look wonderful in our community. Activities like these are a fun way for residents to express themselves, socialize, and add a personal touch to the spaces we share together.

At Ashton Grove, building meaningful connections is an important part of helping residents feel at home. That’s why we are proud to introduce our new Ashton Grove Ambassador Program!

Each quarter, fellow residents vote to select ambassadors who go above and beyond to make others feel welcomed, included, and supported within our community. These resident ambassadors help greet newcomers, offer a friendly face, make introductions, encourage participation in activities, and help residents settle into daily routines and community life.

Our ambassadors represent Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Reflections, helping create a warm and connected environment throughout Ashton Grove.

We are so proud of these residents for sharing their kindness, compassion, and leadership with others. Congratulations to our newest Ashton Grove Ambassadors!

Understanding Dementia - What's Really Happening with Amy Lougheed - Memory Care Director & Wellness Assistant

Caring for a loved one can be deeply meaningful and incredibly challenging. Ashton Grove Senior Living invites caregivers to join our Memory Loss Empowerment Group, a monthly support group offering connection, understanding, and encouragement in a welcoming environment.

May 18: “Bathing & Hygiene”

This group meets on the third Monday of each month and provides a safe space for caregivers to share experiences, ask questions, and gain insights from others on a similar journey. This group meets in our assisted living activities room.

Our residents got creative designing cup and saucer floral arrangements during a recent crafting activity. Each piece was filled with beautiful, colorful flowers and had such an elegant, charming look. 💐

Every arrangement was so pretty! It was a lovely way to add a little beauty, and some quality time with friends, to the day!

Our residents gathered to watch this year’s Kentucky Derby, and it certainly delivered a thrilling finish! The excitement was high, but so was the fashion — everyone looked absolutely stylish in their Derby hats.

It was a fun-filled afternoon of cheering, laughter, and a little friendly racing spirit. Talk about a winning day! 🌹🏇

Yesterday at Ashton Grove, residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea experience featuring a special visit from the Duchess Anna Marie Russell of Bedford. She entertained us with lighthearted stories while sharing the fascinating history behind this timeless tradition.

Guests savored classic tea fare, including cucumber sandwiches, scones, shortbread cookies, and petit fours—perfectly paired with a variety of teas. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with laughter, learning, and meaningful moments together.
