1 in 8 women will receive a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.

That's a sister. A friend. A colleague. A mom. An aunt. A partner. A spouse. Or, even yourself.

1 in 100 men will receive a diagnosis as well.

So, even though it can feel that way, breast cancer warriors are far from alone. There is hope and there is help. And it all starts with awareness.

September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month.

Thyroid cancer is the 12th most diagnosed type of cancer in the United States. It accounts for more than 45,000 cases annually and about 2,300 deaths. Fortunately, for those with the disease - and their loved ones - the five-year survival rate is 98.5%, largely unchanged over the past 15 years.
