🚴‍♂️ World Bicycle Day Reminder: Life Doesn't Send Warning Texts.

Most people assume doctors are somehow immune to injury.

They're not.

While riding a bike on vacation, Dr. McCoy experienced a sudden accident that resulted in his SECOND detached tricep.

Not exactly how anyone plans to spend their time away.

But that's the reality of life.

One moment you're doing something healthy and active. The next, you're facing an unexpected setback.

That's why today's conversation around wellness is shifting beyond simply living longer. It's about maintaining strength, mobility, resilience, and recovery when life throws a curveball. Because eventually, it will.

Whether it's a bike accident, a sports injury, a fall, or simply the wear and tear that comes with staying active, your body's ability to heal and regain function matters.

At Contour Medical, regenerative therapies are helping patients support recovery, rebuild functional strength, and get back to doing the things they love—and the things they need to do.

Because healthy aging isn't about avoiding every injury.

It's about staying resilient enough to recover when they happen.

So this World Bicycle Day:

✅ Wear the helmet.
✅ Use the safety gear.
✅ Keep moving.
✅ Don't let fear keep you from living.

And remember—even doctors need recovery sometimes.

Have you ever had an injury that completely changed your plans overnight?

📍 FROM THE CHAIR with Dr. McCoy

Notice something different in this episode?

Dr. McCoy doesn't start in the chair.

That's intentional.

In today's healthcare landscape, we're seeing more remote care than ever. Companies like Ro, Hims, and Hers have made it possible to receive treatments, prescriptions, and recommendations without ever physically meeting the physician responsible for your care. The convenience is undeniable, but it raises an important question:

Who is actually directing your care?

What many patients don't realize is that a similar model exists within aesthetic medicine.

It's called the "shadow medical director."

The physician's name may be on the website, the license may be on the wall, but when was the last time you actually met them? Have they reviewed your treatment plan? Have they examined you? Will they be involved if questions arise—or worse, if a complication occurs?

As direct-to-consumer healthcare continues to dominate headlines and reshape how patients access care, one thing should never become optional:

👨‍⚕️ The physician-patient relationship.

At Contour Medical, we believe the medical director should be more than a signature on a document. Dr. McCoy is actively involved in patient evaluations, treatment planning, oversight, and follow-up care because exceptional outcomes don't happen by accident—they happen through physician leadership.

Before you begin your next treatment, ask yourself:

✅ Have I met the medical director?
✅ Have they reviewed my case?
✅ Are they involved in my care journey?
✅ Will they be there if I need them?

Healthcare is evolving. Physician accountability should never go out of style.

Happy Oscar the Grouch Day! 🗑️😠➡️😁

Dr. McCoy thought he was just grabbing lunch… until he spotted Krab Salad on the menu. Coincidence? We think not. 🦀

Sometimes all it takes is a good laugh, a favorite meal, or a change in perspective to turn a frown upside down. But let's be honest—sometimes feeling grouchy isn't just about having a bad day.

In a world filled with endless scrolling, digital overload, burnout, brain fog, poor sleep, stress, and constant distractions, more people are talking about how difficult it can be to feel like themselves again. The conversation around mental wellness, attention, mood, and emotional resilience has never been bigger. Recent wellness trends are showing a growing focus on emotional well-being, burnout recovery, and science-backed solutions that help people feel and function better.

That's why we take a deeper approach to wellness.

Whether it's optimizing hormones, improving sleep, addressing inflammation, supporting nutrition, or exploring innovative technologies like EXOMIND®, a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment designed to support mood, focus, and emotional wellness, our goal is simple: help you feel more like YOU again. EXOMIND uses targeted stimulation of brain regions associated with mood regulation and cognitive function, offering another tool in the growing movement toward personalized mental wellness.

So today, take Dr. McCoy's advice:

✔️ Enjoy the crab salad.
✔️ Find something that makes you smile.
✔️ Step away from the negativity.
✔️ And if you've been feeling more Oscar the Grouch than your best self lately, know that solutions may be closer than you think.

Life's too short to stay grouchy. 😎

🚙💭 Ever notice how even the smartest self-driving vehicles keep asking you to put your hands back on the wheel?

Dr. McCoy was cruising down the 101 in his Rivian when the reminders kept popping up:

"Please place your hands on the wheel."

And honestly? That's a lesson that goes way beyond driving.

We're living in a moment where AI is everywhere. Autonomous vehicles are expanding across the country, hands-free driving is becoming mainstream, and everyone is asking the same question:

How much should we trust automation?

The answer may surprise you.

The most advanced systems in the world still require an engaged human. Not because the technology isn't impressive—but because outcomes are better when someone is actively paying attention.

Healthcare is no different.

Too many people are on autopilot:
➡️ Taking medications without asking why
➡️ Treating symptoms without finding causes
➡️ Waiting for problems instead of preventing them

And sometimes providers fall into that same trap.

At our practice, we believe your health deserves more than cruise control.

The best outcomes happen when both patient and provider stay engaged, ask better questions, monitor progress, and make adjustments along the way.

Technology is incredible.
Innovation is exciting.
But your health should never be "set it and forget it."

Just like your Rivian reminds you to keep your hands on the wheel...

Your body is asking you to stay involved too.

Are you actively driving your health journey—or just along for the ride?

🌎 Today is World Digestive Health Day.

You may be wondering why Dr. McCoy is sitting under Exomind® — a transcranial magnetic stimulation device — talking about digestive health.

Because your gut and your brain are in constant conversation.

Emerging research shows that stimulating key areas of the brain can positively influence the gut-brain axis, helping support digestive function, stress regulation, and even the diversity of beneficial bacteria living in your microbiome. 🧠➡️🦠

For years, digestive health conversations have focused on:
🥗 What you're eating
💊 What supplements you're taking
🏃 How much you're exercising

But today's science is revealing another critical piece of the puzzle:

👉 What you're thinking.

Stress, anxiety, poor focus, and chronic mental overload don't just affect your mind—they can impact digestion, inflammation, and the balance of your gut microbiome.

At Contour Medical, we take a regenerative wellness approach that recognizes the body as an interconnected system. When we optimize brain health, we often see benefits extending far beyond the brain itself.

This World Digestive Health Day, remember:

It's not just about what you're eating.

It's about what you're thinking.

Because a healthier brain may help create a healthier gut.

Most people think body sculpting is about looks.

They’re missing the bigger story.

The biggest misconception about today’s body sculpting technology? Thinking it’s only aesthetic.

Dr. McCoy explains why these devices are becoming part of a much larger conversation around recovery, strength, regeneration, and functional wellness.

Yes, they can enhance results from exercise.

But for some patients, they may also help support:
✔️ Muscle strength
✔️ Recovery after injury or surgery
✔️ Joint support
✔️ Core stability
✔️ Movement & function

In other words… this isn’t just about looking better.

It’s about enhancing biology through technology.

For some, it’s the extra edge.
For others, it’s a bridge back to movement when exercise alone isn’t possible.

And the side effect?
You usually look better too. 👀

“What does wellness mean to you?”

For some, it’s energy.
For others, confidence.
Peace. Strength. Balance. Longevity.

But one thing today’s top wellness experts are ALL agreeing on?👇

👉 Muscle is no longer just about aesthetics. It’s one of the most important currencies for long-term health.

From the Today Show to wellness podcasts to longevity experts everywhere, the conversation is shifting from “looking fit” to staying FUNCTIONAL, STRONG, and INDEPENDENT for life.

Because wellness isn’t about extremes.
It’s about resilience.

✔️ The strength to keep up with your kids
✔️ The energy to show up fully
✔️ The confidence to feel good in your body
✔️ The ability to move through stress and recovery with ease

That’s why Dr. McCoy calls EMSCULPT NEO a gamechanger.

Not because it’s trendy.
Because building and preserving muscle impacts EVERYTHING:
• metabolism
• posture
• mobility
• hormone health
• mental wellness
• aging well

And in a world obsessed with quick fixes… we believe in building a body that supports you for LIFE.

💬 So tell us in ONE WORD:
What does wellness mean to YOU?

05/19/2026

⚠️ WARNING: This is NOT your average Emsculpt Neo treatment. DO NOT attempt this expert & advanced technique without proper supervision!

Most people have only seen Emsculpt done lying flat… strapped in… passively waiting for contractions.

At our office?

We train the body AND the brain. 🔥

This is Emsculpt Neo Active+ — an advanced, engaged approach designed to create next-level core activation, performance, and mind-muscle connection.

Because when you actively engage during treatment, your body learns to recruit muscle differently. More awareness. More activation. More athletic control. 💪

That “bridge” position you’re seeing?

It’s not just for show. It challenges stability, coordination, pelvic floor integration, and total core engagement all at once — something most providers never teach.

Dr. McCoy has participated in BTL studies for Emsculpt Neo, including the groundbreaking Core-to-Floor protocols, and trains providers from across the U.S. and Canada right here in our onsite training facility.

Translation?

This isn’t trend-following. This is where providers come to LEARN the trends. 👏

The fitness world is shifting away from “just aesthetics” and toward performance, longevity, and intentional movement — and honestly? We’re here for it.

Because the strongest bodies aren’t just built… they’re connected. 🧠➡️💥➡️💪

Drop a 🔥 if you’d try the Active+ challenge.
