He died on 01 Sep 1954 in Mount Ayr, Newton County, IN. He married JENNIE LUCY WADE, daughter of James William Wade and Martha Ellen Fall, on 10 Nov 1883 in Willow Hill, Willow Hill Township, Jasper County, IL. She was born on 25 Jan 1866 in Lawrenceville, Lawrence County, IL. She died on 18 Oct 1946 in Pembrooke Township, Kankakee County, IL.

Bricks Campaign to Support the Home of
Moses & Barbara (Miller) Yoder
Arthur, Illinois

The Illinois Amish Heritage Center in Arthur, Illinois (just 30 miles south of Champaign) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 to promote the heritage, preserve the culture, and promote the understanding of the Illinois Amish.

The oldest Amish home in Illinois, the 1865 Moses (YR26116) & Barbara Yoder house, has been relocated onto a new 7 ½ acre site of the Living History Farm & Amish Museum just east of Arthur. It is being restored to its original condition. It was built in 1865 by Moses & Barbara who were among the first Amish families that migrated from Somerset, Pennsylvania and established the Arthur Amish Settlement.

Richard Yoder Celebrates 91st Birthday

Richard "Rich" Yoder celebrated his 91st birthday on July 24, 2026. He is the last living member of the Yoder family to have resided at the historic Yoder Farm (13 Yoder Road) in Pennsylvania's Oley Valley.

The farm is historically significant because it has remained in the same Yoder family since the original land deed was issued in the early 1700, making the area's longest continuously family-owned properties.

Rich lived on the family farm from his birth in 1935 until 1954 with his parents, David and Anna Yoder, and his brother, Marvin Yoder.

Today, Rich resides in Lady Lake, Florida. He is pictured with his sons Gregory and Geoff Yoder, and his daughter, Maureen Yoder, as they celebrate this special milestone.
