For Joanne, finding the right place to call home meant finding somewhere she could feel safe, cared for and at home. “I have never felt safer. The people in every department have become like family to me. I love the team, appreciate the care and help I receive from nursing, and especially enjoy sitting down to a delicious meal without having to worry about the cleanup afterward!”

After more than five years at Edgewood Spearfish, Joanne says she has loved her time here and feels so lucky to have found such a loving and caring community.

What if a fresh start meant finding a whole new community?

For Trish, moving to Edgewood Bismarck Village was the start of a new chapter. After losing her husband, Trish was ready for a change and wanted something just as important: a sense of community. She knew one person before moving in, a neighbor from her condo. But it didn’t take long for Trish to build a whole new circle of friends. These days, she’s always busy doing something with someone.

Her car may be parked in the garage, but it hardly moves. Trish has everything she needs right here, from delicious food to plenty of activities and, most importantly, good friends. She says she’s happy, knows she’s in good hands and doesn’t have to worry about a thing.

What happens when you finally find your people?

For Lonnette “Breezy”, it means being known. Since joining Edgewood Cheyenne Aspen Wind in March 2025, her quick wit and unapologetic personality have made a lasting impression, and she’s found something she didn’t have before: friendship and connection. “Here people know my name and give me hugs. I have everything I need right here. I love it here. I am not alone anymore.”

What if the hardest day was actually the beginning of something better?

For Mike, that day came on a dark morning when he faced a series of unexpected challenges on his way to a VA appointment. Stranded and alone, he realized that living by himself was becoming increasingly difficult. After a hospital stay and exploring several senior living communities with his family, Mike found his new home at Edgewood Boise Overland, and he never looked back.

Now, at 70, Mike is happier, healthier, and surrounded by friends. His days are filled with laughter, activities, and, according to him, some pretty great food. But most importantly, he discovered the connection he didn’t realize he was missing.
