Community Hospital was pleased to host a signing day event for Mesa County Valley School District 51 Project SEARCH students on August 4! This event served as a welcoming ceremony for students to kick off the school year and their participation in the Project SEARCH program. The event also featured an ice cream social where Community Hospital Senior Leadership served ice cream to attendees.

Project SEARCH provides employability skills, training and workplace internships for individuals with disabilities, particularly youth transitioning from high school to adult life. Community Hospital launched Project SEARCH in partnership with Mesa County Valley School District 51 and Strive in 2023.

At Community Hospital, our dedicated volunteers make a difference every day!

Dave spent 27 years caring for patients at Community Hospital. Today, Dave continues to give back through volunteer service at Community Hospital. He said he volunteers because, "I care and I want to maintain my “family” relationships with colleagues and patients. It is both a selfish joy and a personal passion!" You can find Dave at the Canyon View Medical Office Building entrance on Monday afternoons. He has graciously donated over 375 hours of service.
