Meet Becky Haderer, LLMSW, Therapist at GR Therapy Collective.

We’re excited to welcome Becky Haderer to the community of independent clinicians practicing at GR Therapy Collective in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Becky has a particular passion for women’s mental health and supporting women through the seasons of life that can change so much about who we are- pregnancy, postpartum, miscarriage, motherhood, divorce, caregiving, relationship changes, and the often-overlooked process of rediscovering yourself along the way.
Her approach to therapy is compassionate and collaborative, grounded in the belief that healing often begins when people feel safe enough to be fully witnessed, heard, and accepted without judgment.
Becky works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, burnout, perfectionism, relationship challenges, selfworth, identity, caregiver stress, and major life transitions. She has a special interest in the connection between our emotional health, physical experiences, relationships, and nervous system.
Becky brings a pretty unique background into the therapy room. She has spent the last 13 years supporting women and families as a Reiki Master/energy practitioner, postpartum doula, certified lactation counselor (CLC), and women’s wellness practitioner. These experiences gave her a
deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and the importance of recognizing that healing can look different for every person.
Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based social work practice, while also incorporating mindfulness, self compassion, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and practical coping skills.
Becky doesn’t see therapy as being about “fixing” people. Instead, she believes in helping people better understand themselves, recognize patterns that may no longer serve them, reconnect with their strengths, and create meaningful change that aligns with who they are and where they want to go.
Outside of the office, you’ll likely find Becky practicing yoga, doing terribly at trivia night, walking her dog, reading nonfiction, watching one of her three teenage sons’ sporting events, spending time in nature, laughing with friends, or exploring holistic wellness.
We’re really glad to have Becky practicing alongside the community at GR Therapy Collective and to have another supportive resource for women and adults looking for therapy in the Grand Rapids area.

Meet Mark Strubler, Therapist at GR Therapy Collective

We’re excited to welcome Mark Strubler to the community of independent clinicians practicing at GR Therapy Collective in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Mark specializes in men’s mental health and trauma therapy and has a particular passion for helping men better understand who they are outside of the roles and expectations often placed on them. He also enjoys working with dads as they navigate relationships, parenting, identity, and caring for their families. There’s no single manual for parenting, and Mark believes men deserve support in this area too.

One thing that stands out about Mark is that you don’t have to already be sold on therapy to work with him.

He genuinely enjoys working with people who may be skeptical, unsure about counseling, or who have had past experiences that left them wondering if therapy is really for them. You don’t have to walk in ready to unpack everything. It can simply start with a conversation and getting to know each other.

As Mark puts it, “It can seem like you're opening a can of worms, but let's just start with a conversation getting to know each other. The work will come in the time it is supposed to.”

Mark is a Certified EMDR Therapist and incorporates EMDR into his trauma work. He also uses Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and solution focused approaches to help people understand their experiences while also figuring out what they want to do moving forward.

Mark works with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, substance and behavioral addictions, adult adoptee experiences, relationships and family concerns, career changes, and major life transitions.

More than anything, Mark wants the people who sit across from him to feel welcome, seen, and able to build trust.

Outside of the office, he spends a lot of time with family and friends and enjoys staying active, especially getting outside on the trails with a bike or rucksack. And something you might not guess about him? Mark spent several years in his 20s as a professional musician and producer.

We’re really glad to have Mark practicing alongside the community at GR Therapy Collective and to have another great resource for those looking for therapy in the Grand Rapids area.

And we’ll leave you with Mark’s own words:

“Your life and your story matters.”

**As one season winds down, another begins... have you noticed yourself feeling a little different?**

Maybe you've been a little more anxious than usual.
A little more irritable.
A little more tired.
Or maybe you just can't quite put your finger on it.

As summer shifts toward fall, many people experience subtle changes in how they think, feel, and respond. Even expected transitions, like changing routines, preparing for school, busier schedules, or shorter days, can be enough for our nervous systems to take notice.

It doesn't mean something is wrong with you.

It may simply mean your mind and body are adjusting to change.

Instead of asking, *"Why am I feeling this way?"* try asking:

*"What has changed recently?"*
*"What might I need a little more of right now?"*

Sometimes the answer is more rest. More connection. More time outside. More grace with yourself.

Transitions are a normal part of life, but they don't always feel easy. If this season feels heavier than expected, know that you don't have to navigate it alone.

Wishing everyone a gentle transition into the months ahead. 💚

A lot of people wonder:
“Is this anxiety… or am I just stressed?”

The truth is, anxiety doesn’t always look obvious.
It can show up as overthinking, people-pleasing, feeling constantly “on,” or never really being able to relax.

And a lot of people wait until things feel really overwhelming before reaching out.

You don’t have to.

I put together a simple guide to help you:
– recognize signs of anxiety
– understand what therapy can actually help with
– and figure out what your next step could look like

If you’re in Grand Rapids and have been thinking about therapy, this is a good place to start.
