Services for Toni Annette Stanley, 65, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2026, at Round Flat Pentecostal Church, Fruitvale, with Bro. Homer Morgan and Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.

Toni passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in Tyler. She was born on August 1, 1960, in Grand Saline to Alfred Lewis Stanley and Lurilla Belle Morgan Stanley. A lifelong resident of Van Zandt County, Toni was a devoted member of Round Flat Pentecostal Church, where her faith and love for others were evident to all who knew her.

Known as a precious angel to her family, church family, and friends, Toni found great joy in attending church with her mother. If Toni was present, the preacher never went without a glass of water. She loved everyone she met and especially enjoyed singing and playing the tambourine during the old gospel hymns she cherished so much. Toni also enjoyed cooking, with brownies and cornbread among her favorite things to make and share.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lou Stanley; sisters, Leta Von Calder and Sharon Lynn Murphy; and infant twin brothers.

Survivors include her brother, Eddie Stanley and wife Sharon of Grand Saline; sister, Louann Stanley of Grand Saline; eleven nieces and nephews, Tammy, James, Eddie Paul, Lori, Gary, Karla, Heath, Christy, Randy, J.P., and Matt; and numerous other great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Randy Fisher, J.P. Fisher, Matt Fisher, Gary Stanley, Heath Snow, and Eddie Paul Stanley.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m., Monday, at the church.

Services for Edward Harold Akins, 88, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Round Flat Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Homer Morgan & Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.

Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery, Emory, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Mr. Akins passed away June 9, 2026, in Grand Saline. He was born May 10, 1938, in Rains County, to William Luther and Birdie Mae Monk Akins. Edward married Barbara Dawson on November 22, 1958.

He served in the U.S. Army with the 29th Armored Division during the Korean Conflict from 1958 to 1960. After his military service, Edward lived in Pleasant Grove and worked for Asbestos Local 21 in Dallas, where he spent 30 years as a mechanical insulator before retiring.

In 1970, Edward moved his family to Fruitvale and became part-owner of W.E. Brothers Construction alongside his brother, W.L. Akins. He later worked for Arrow Insulation for eight years before retiring again in 2005.

Edward was a member of Round Flat Pentecostal Church and was known for his love of fishing and hunting.

Mr. Akins was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 48 years, Barbara Akins; four brothers, Raymond Akins, William Akins, Delbert Akins, and W.L. Akins; sister, Dorothy Latham; and grandson, Johnny Lewellen.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Lois Carver of Fruitvale; two sons, Eddie Akins and wife Kim of Fruitvale, and Michael Akins and wife Debbi of Grand Saline; daughter, Kim Adams and husband Jason of Canton; sister, Helen Craine of Pleasant Grove; fourteen grandchildren, Rena, Misty, Megan (Nicky), Charlie, Eric (Candice), Cody, Ashley (Michael), Brittany (Mason), Justin, Jeremy, Lucas, Heather (Brendon), Kaitlin (Chad), and Kassie; twenty-one great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Gerald, Persephone, Parker, Owen, Kenley, Raelyn, Kaden, Tanner, Trever, Rylee, Tukker, Tuff, Ryken, Luke, Royce, Brinley, Cooper, Carter, Paxton, and Grady; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Jones, Jeremy Jones, Lucas Adams, Cody Akins, Jamie Wood, and Eric Baker.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Private graveside services will be held for Florence Denton Hernandez, 85, of Canton, at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Florence Marie Denton Hernandez passed away on June 7, 2026, at her home. She was born on May 25, 1941, in Grand Saline to Felix and Minnie Sallings Denton.

Florence attended school in Grand Saline until about the age of seven, when she moved to Dallas. She lived in Dallas for many years before spending approximately ten years in California. In 1997, she returned to Grand Saline, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.

A member of Riverside Mission Church, Florence was known for her kind heart and her desire to help others. She found joy in making people happy and loved staying busy, visiting with friends and family, and being on the go. Florence especially enjoyed dancing and cooking.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Kenneth Marlar.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lewis, Sr. of Canton; son, Rick Cobb of Canton; grandchild, Cody Cobb; great-grandchild, Angel Cobb; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services for Bobby Gene Boswell, 54, of Mineola, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Alba.

Mr. Boswell passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Tyler. He was born June 26, 1971, in Grand Saline to Ray and Norma Jean Lemley Boswell.

Bobby was a lifelong resident of Mineola. He shared a passion with his father for buying and selling game roosters, a hobby he continued to enjoy after his father's passing. Bobby cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially his mother. The family's most recent gathering was particularly meaningful to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Boswell.

Survivors include his mother, Norma Jean Boswell of Mineola; his son, Noah Lee Boswell of Longview; his daughters, Jenna Thompson of Chandler and Jessica Lynn Boswell of Arkansas; his brother, Ray Boswell Jr. of Mineola; his sisters, Julie Patrick and husband Chris of Mineola, Stacie Lynn Lilley and husband Richard of Mineola, and Lisa Crumley and John Rupe of Hawkins; five grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Rupe, Tyson Metzig, Damon Boswell, Jerry Wilson, Jason Arthur, Billy Adams, and Chad Haut.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Dorothy Jane Roseman Blackmon passed away on June 6, 2026, in Dallas. She was born on September 5, 1942, in Grand Saline to Jess and Dora Fisher Roseman.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Van Zandt County, a graduate of Grand Saline High School Class of 1961, and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Grand Saline.

She began her working career at United Dollar in Grand Saline and later worked for Ben and Neva Kuykendall's Flower Shop. Over the years, Dorothy managed several department stores, including K-Wolens in Grand Saline. She eventually owned and operated Miller's House of Flowers & Gifts and All Canton Floral for more than 40 years. Dorothy was also the inspiration behind Bedrock RV Inn & Event Center.

In August 2009, she married Jimmie Blackmon.

Dorothy enjoyed staying active in her community and volunteered with several organizations, including Love & Grace Food Bank, the Todd Randal Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund, and nursing home bingo held at the Todd Randal Miller Event Center. She was also a member of the Recycled Teenagers RV Club.

Dorothy was known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. She made many lasting friendships through her work, volunteer activities, and involvement in the community. She will be remembered by her family and friends for the positive impact she made on the lives of those around her.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd Randal Miller; and three brothers, H.L. Roseman, Rayburn Roseman, and Jerry Roseman.

Survivors include her husband Jimmie Blackmon of Canton; son, Tony Miller and wife Reneѐ of Grand Saline; stepchildren, Jimmie Ray Blackmon, Jr. and wife Sally of Whitehouse, Jolyn Boyd and husband Wes of Arp, Sherri Lynn Blackmon of Tyler, and Melissa Menon and husband Venue of Charleston, WV; two sisters, Margaret Dillard and Jeanie Ward, both of Grand Saline; two grandchildren, Justin Miller and Travis Miller; eight step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; father of her children, Randal Miller; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Miller, Travis Miller, Kevin Ward, Peyton Blackmon, Jim Blackmon, and Don Cernoch.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of the Recycled Teenagers RV Club.

Deborah Kay Briggs English, 76, of Lone Oak, passed away on June 3, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Wills Point. She was born on September 11, 1949, in Tyler to Raymond Ray Briggs and Marjorie Rue Sherwood Briggs.

Deborah was a graduate of Rains High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Alba. She spent most of her life in the Alba area before moving to Lone Oak 20 years ago.

She enjoyed attending NASCAR races, especially when her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, was competing. Deborah was also an avid fan of professional bull riding (PBR) and loved watching her favorite television series, Downton Abbey.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger English; her brother, Kenny Briggs; an infant daughter; and her son-in-law, Wesley Foster.

She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Campbell of Wills Point and Amy Heddin of Alba; her sister, Katherine Fansler and husband Dale; her nieces and nephews, Morgan Langston, Kory Briggs, Heather Leach, Devin Fansler, and Zachary Fansler; three grandchildren, Marlan Campbell, Jamie Heddin, and Jordan Campbell; six great-grandchildren, Natalee, Aiden, Journey, Kacelyn, Zayn, and Remi; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Anders passed away May 29, 2026, in Tyler. She was born August 4, 1948, in Sulphur Springs, to Homer Lee and Flora Alendar Ragsdale O’Neal. Duene spent her entire life in the Alba area and was a member of Gunter Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, fishing, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Duene was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, C.L. Anders; and her youngest grandson, Louis Lewers.

Survivors include her two daughters, Joetta Anders of Alba and Malisa Thompson and her husband, Bradley of Alba; her sister, Darline Reid of Alba; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Pallbearers will be Travis Anders, Phillip Lewers, Timothy Anders, Jered Taylor, Richard Anders, and Bobby Anders. Louis Lewers will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Tammy passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at her residence in Alba. She was born August 25, 1972, in Quitman, to Tommie Lee Hass and Vickie Kay Swindell Hass. Tammy lived all her life in the Alba-Golden area and was a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Alba. Tammy loved her family deeply and was known affectionately as “Mammy” to everyone who knew her. She was also a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan who proudly claimed to “bleed blue and silver.” The family would like everyone to look up and read Mark 10:52 NIV and think of her. Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Wanda Hass, James and Dorothy Swindell; and husband Thomas Byron II.

Survivors include her father, Tommie Hass of Alba; mother, Vickie Hass of Alba; her significant other, James Hendrix of Alba; three sons, Thomas Byron III and Samantha, Trevor Byron and wife MaKayla, and Dalton Hendrix and Chelsey all of Alba; daughter, Trista Zavala and husband Refugio of Alba; two brothers, Clayton Hass and Rachel of Alba and Corey Hass of Winnsboro; two sisters, Alicia Staggs of Lewisville and Tessa Hass of Alba; eight grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Cordova passed away on May 25, 2026, in Grand Saline. He was born on November 30, 1935, in Thornton, to Adrian and Mary Liscano Cordova. He married Clementina Acosta in Dallas on July 7, 1957. Andrew proudly served in the U.S. Army and spent six months stationed in Germany.

He spent his early years in Groesbeck and Dallas before moving to Grand Saline 41 years ago. In his younger days, Andrew enjoyed playing softball and later joined the “Ol Timers” Softball League at age 50, where he played pitcher. He worked for the past 40 years with Phillip Adkins Landscaping and Landmark Nursery. Andrew was also deeply involved in supporting his children’s softball and baseball activities.

Andrew is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clementina Acosta Cordova; son, Andrew Cordova II; and seven brothers.

Survivors include his three sons, Adrian Cordova of Grand Saline, Abraham Cordova (Corina) of Grand Saline, and Adam Joe Cordova (Judy) of Fruitvale; two daughters, Cynthia Cordova of Dallas, and Mary Ruth Corrales (John) of Grand Saline; sister, Orpha Cordova of Groesbeck; sixteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Cordova, Abraham Cordova, Adam Joe Cordova, Jonathan Cordova, Joey Adam Cordova, and Henry Garza.

Mr. McQueen passed away May 23, 2026, in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Born September 4, 1946, in Alba, Texas, to William Joseph and Ruby Lucille Worthington McQueen, Connie never lost his appreciation for simple pleasures and good times. Whether he was searching garage sales for hidden treasures, buying and selling old cars, or enjoying a good western on television, he found joy in the things he loved most. He especially enjoyed car racing, tractor pulls, and anything with plenty of speed and noise.

Connie had called Tuttle home for the past five years, but his roots and memories remained deeply tied to East Texas and the many family members and friends who shared in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Thomas, Homer, Bobby, Truman, Billy Joe, Russell, and Willie Earl; three sisters, Maggie, Sadie, and Dianna; two infant brothers; and three infant sisters.

Survivors include his two sons, Mark McQueen and wife Alonda of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and Chris Hays and wife Stacey of Alba; daughter, Desa McQueen of Stephenville; three sisters, Kathy Turner of Quitman, Kay Roberts of Terrell, and Dorothy Isernia and husband John of Murphy; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends whose lives he touched through the years.

Pallbearers will be Brian Kovach, William Penson, Bryan Thomas, Leon Edwards, Jim Cimarolli, Ryan Theobalt, Daniel Colegrove, and Shane Jennings.

The family will receive friends 9 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
