Impetigo: More Than Just a Rash

These painful, pus-filled blisters are a classic sign of impetigo, a highly contagious bacterial skin infection most commonly caused by Staphylococcus or Streptococcus bacteria.

When impetigo becomes widespread, inflamed, or develops multiple pus-filled lesions like these, oral antibiotics may be necessary to help clear the infection and prevent it from spreading further.

⚠️ Signs that warrant prompt evaluation:
• Pus-filled blisters or sores
• Honey-colored crusting
• Rapidly spreading lesions
• Increasing redness, pain, or swelling
• Fever or feeling unwell

Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent complications and speed up healing.

If you notice suspicious sores, don’t ignore them. Schedule an evaluation with Dr. Azar and our team for an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan.

2 Months on Isotretinoin: A Transformation in Progress

Swipe to see the difference just 2 months can make.

These before-and-after photos show significant improvement in inflammatory acne after starting isotretinoin (Accutane). In the “before” images, active breakouts, redness, inflamed papules, and pustules were present across the cheeks, nose, and chin. After only 8 weeks of treatment, there is a dramatic reduction in active acne lesions, less inflammation, and noticeable clearing of the skin.

While some redness and post-inflammatory marks remain, this is a normal part of the healing process. Isotretinoin works by reducing oil production, preventing clogged pores, decreasing inflammation, and targeting the root causes of acne. Results continue to improve over the course of treatment, with many patients seeing even greater clearing in the months ahead.

✅ Fewer active breakouts
✅ Reduced inflammation and redness
✅ Smoother skin texture
✅ Improved overall complexion
✅ Confidence restored, one step at a time

Every patient’s journey is unique, and isotretinoin requires close monitoring under the care of a board-certified dermatologist.

Thinking about treatment for stubborn or severe acne? Schedule a consultation to discuss your options.

MYTHBUSTER MONDAY 🎯

Acne advice is everywhere, but not all of it is true.

Did you know that some things people blame for breakouts, like moisturizing oily skin, wearing non-comedogenic makeup, or enjoying chocolate in moderation, may not actually be the culprit?

On the flip side, habits like frequent skin picking, dirty makeup brushes, certain supplements, and heavy hair products around the face can contribute to acne flare-ups.

The truth is that acne is complex and looks different for everyone. Understanding your personal triggers is key to achieving healthier, clearer skin.

Have you ever believed one of these acne myths? Let us know in the comments! 👇

REJUVENATION ☀️

A refreshed appearance doesn’t always require dramatic changes. With strategically placed dermal filler, we were able to restore lost volume, soften the appearance of marionette lines, and improve lower face contour while maintaining a natural look.

As we age, collagen and facial volume gradually decrease, which can lead to sagging, deeper folds, and a tired appearance. Dermal fillers can help restore facial harmony, support areas that have lost volume, and create a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Every treatment at our office is customized to the patient’s unique facial anatomy and aesthetic goals. Our goal is always natural-looking results that leave you looking refreshed, never overdone.

Interested in learning if filler is right for you? Schedule a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Angela Azar and let us create a personalized treatment plan for you.

Your skincare routine doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective ✨ Knowing how often to use each active ingredient can make all the difference when it comes to getting glowing, healthy skin without irritation. Here’s a simple guide to help you build a balanced routine 👇🏼

🌙 Retinol
Use 3 nights per week to help improve fine lines, texture, acne, and overall skin renewal. Start slow and always follow with moisturizer.

☀️ Niacinamide
Gentle enough for every morning use. Helps brighten the skin, calm redness, improve texture, and support the skin barrier.

🍊 Vitamin C
Best used every morning to protect against environmental damage while helping brighten and even out skin tone. Pair with SPF for maximum protection.

✨ Glycolic Acid
Use about 3 nights per week to exfoliate dead skin cells, smooth rough texture, and give the skin a radiant glow. Avoid overusing to prevent irritation.

💧 Hyaluronic Acid
A hydration essential that can be used morning and night. Helps the skin look plump, hydrated, and refreshed.

🧴 Sunscreen
The most important step in any skincare routine ☀️ Wear SPF every single day, even when it’s cloudy, to protect against premature aging, sun damage, and discoloration.

Consistency > overdoing it 🤍
Healthy skin comes from using the right products at the right frequency.

05/29/2026

Nevus anemicus is a benign vascular birthmark that appears lighter than the surrounding skin due to localized blood vessel constriction, not a loss of pigment. It is usually present from birth or early childhood and most commonly found on the chest, neck, or trunk.
Key facts about nevus anemicus:
• Benign and harmless
• Does not typically itch, scale, or spread
• Often mistaken for vitiligo or other pigment disorders
• Becomes more noticeable when surrounding skin turns red from heat, exercise, or rubbing
• Usually remains stable over time

Understanding the difference between vascular and pigment conditions is important when evaluating changes in the skin. If you ever notice a new or changing spot, a professional skin evaluation is always recommended
