About last night...

There’s something special about watching an idea on a calendar turn into a room full of people laughing, dancing, singing, and making memories.

Last night we brought a little bit of Italy to The Chamberlin with our Little Italy Banquet Night, complete with a beautiful Italian dinner and live entertainment from Frank Sings Frank. And judging by the smiles… I think it was a hit. ❤️
At The Chamberlin, it’s never just dinner or just entertainment. It’s creating experiences that give people something to look forward to, something to talk about tomorrow, and sometimes… a reason to get up and dance.

It was an evening that will be remembered!

🐍🦎 We had a wild afternoon at The Chamberlin!

The Reptile Educators of Virginia brought an incredible collection of exotic reptiles for an up-close, hands-on experience our residents won’t soon forget. From giant lizards and tortoises to snakes and geckos, there was something to amaze everyone.

There were plenty of smiles, lots of questions, and even a few brave volunteers who got to meet these fascinating creatures up close! Thank you to the Reptile Educators of Virginia for sharing your knowledge and helping us discover the amazing world of reptiles. We can’t wait to have you back! 💚🐢🦎🐍

🤟 A Wonderful Start to ASL! 🤟

Our first American Sign Language class was a fantastic success! Residents came together to learn, laugh, and challenge themselves with a new skill in a fun, welcoming environment.

A special thank you to our resident instructor, Joy Edwards, for sharing her knowledge and making the class such a meaningful experience. We can’t wait to see everyone continue their ASL journey together! 💙

What an incredible morning at The Chamberlin! 🚢⚓

Residents and guests gathered on our rooftop to enjoy a front-row view of the spectacular Parade of Sail as majestic tall ships made their way through Hampton Roads. With beautiful weather, great company, and breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay, it was a truly unforgettable experience.

Moments like these remind us how special life at The Chamberlin can be—bringing history, community, and memorable experiences right to our doorstep.

⚓️ Parade of Sail Schedule Update ⚓️

To give everyone the best possible view of the magnificent tall ships, we have adjusted the timing of our Parade of Sail event.

The event will now take place from 9:30 AM–11:30 AM. Current projections show the ships passing Fort Monroe around 10:12 AM, so this updated schedule will allow guests to enjoy the most exciting portion of the parade from our incredible waterfront vantage point.

We look forward to gathering together for this unforgettable maritime spectacle. See you on the rooftop!

Did you know that dozens of tall ships from around the world will be sailing by Continental Park at Fort Monroe on Friday morning around 9am?

They will be on their way to Norfolk for a global gathering of tall ships and military ships to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States.
