Today we celebrate the strength, compassion, resilience, and love that mothers bring to their families, workplaces, and communities every single day. From cheering on the sidelines to caring for others before themselves, moms are often the heartbeat behind it all.

At Elliott PT, we are especially grateful for the incredible mothers on our team and the many moms we have the privilege of caring for each day. Your dedication inspires us.

Wishing all the moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, mother figures, and caregivers a day filled with love, appreciation, and maybe even a little time to relax. 🌷

🐾 April 11th was National Pet Day and the Elliott PT Family celebrated their pets! 🐾

We may be experts in movement and recovery — but our real secret weapon? Our pets. 🐶🐱🐰

But pets aren’t just adorable — they’re actually good for you! 🙌 Research shows that owning a pet can:

❤️ Lower blood pressure and reduce stress

😊 Boost mood and ease symptoms of anxiety and depression

🦴 Encourage more physical activity (hello, daily walks!)

🤝 Reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation

Sounds like pets and physical therapy have a lot in common — both help you feel and move better! 😄

We’d love to see YOUR pets too! Drop a photo in the comments and tell us their name. 👇🐾

🌟 What a day at Healthy Kids Day! 🌟
We had the BEST time joining the Needham YMCA’s national celebration of kids’ and family health and wellness! For over 30 years, YMCAs across the country have been bringing communities together with free events like this one — inspiring kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active all summer long and beyond. 💛

We loved every moment — from seeing our tiniest fans in their Elliott jerseys 👕 to sharing some water with our favorite four-legged community members 🐾🐶

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello — your smiles made our day! Here’s to healthy, happy, active families all summer long! ☀️

💛 Elliott Physical Therapy — Moving with your community, every step of the way.

Is your "Paddy’s Day" spirit stronger than your wrist? 🇮🇪🍺

We know the feeling! If carrying those festive pints has your hands or wrists feeling less than lucky, it might be time to see a specialist. We are proud to have Rebecca Wolongevicz, MS, OTR/L, CHT, on our team at Elliott Physical Therapy in Hanover.

As a Certified Hand Therapist and Occupational Therapist, Rebecca specializes in the complex mechanics from your fingertips to your shoulder. And let’s be honest—after the Blizzard of ’26 dumped 3+ feet of snow on the South Shore, most of our hands and shoulders are feeling the "shoveling struggle." ❄️🏠

Why see a CHT like Rebecca?

🟢 Specialized Expertise: Hand therapy is medicine for everything from ligament strains to post-op recovery.

🟢 Blizzard Recovery: If shoveling that mountain of snow left you with tingling, numbness, or shoulder pain, Rebecca can create a custom plan to get you back to 100%.

🟢 Functional Goals: We focus on getting you back to the activities you love (even if that’s just holding a coffee—or a pint! 😉).

Don't just push through the pain! Whether it was the snow or the celebration that got you, Rebecca is ready to help.

📍 Visit us in Hanover or call 781-347-3107 to schedule your appointment today!

One team, one vision, and a whole lot of growth! 📈💛

Our team recently gathered for our Annual Meeting to reflect on a record-breaking 2025 and share our roadmap for 2026. As Elliott Physical Therapy continues to grow, our mission remains the same: supporting our patients with expert care and supporting our team members in their career goals.

Seeing all these smiling faces in one room reminds us why we do what we do. We are so excited for the new programs, community outreach, and educational partnerships we have planned for this year.

Thank you to our amazing team for your dedication, and to our patients for trusting us with your health. 2026, we’re ready for you! 👟✨

Getting ready to conquer 26.2 miles in 2026? 🏃‍♀️

If you’re out crushing miles on the streets or at a local park, we have one word for you: SLOW.

It sounds counterintuitive, but if you want to cross that finish line on Boylston Street feeling strong, you need to master the art of the "conversational pace." Here’s why your friendly neighborhood PTs at Elliott want you to dial it back:

Why Slow = Pro 🧠
Build Your Armor: Running at a slower pace early in your training gives your muscles and tendons the time they actually need to adapt to the impact.

Fuel Efficiency: It teaches your body to burn fat for fuel more efficiently—which is a total game-changer when you hit the dreaded "wall" late in the race.

Cardiac Gains: You’re stimulating vital heart adaptations that only happen when you aren't redlining it.

The "Vibe Check" Test 🗣️
How do you know if you're going slow enough? If you can’t gossip with your running buddy about the latest friend-group drama without gasping for air, you’re going too fast.

Ideally, you want to stay in Zone 2 (about 60-70% of your max heart rate). If you can hold a full conversation, you’re doing it right!

This is just the beginning! We’ll be sharing more expert tips in our Marathon Training Series to make sure everyone prepping for the Boston Marathon and beyond in 2026 stays injury-free and ready to rock.

What's your favorite route for a "conversational" long run? Let us know in the comments! 👇
