Pelvic Health in Practice
The Pelvic Health in Practice Series is a hands-on professional development programdesigned to bridge the gap between foundational pelvic health education and real-world clinical application.
Through focused, case-based learning, participants will strengthen their clinical reasoning, build confidence, and develop practical skills to effectively evaluate and manage common pelvic health conditions in clinical practice.

Course 1: Postpartum Care

Build confidence in evaluating and treating the postpartum population through a practical, evidence-based approach. This course covers common postpartum impairments, clinical assessment, exercise progression, return-to-activity considerations, and treatment strategies through real-world case discussions, helping clinicians integrate pelvic health principles into everyday practice.

Who Should Attend?
This series is designed for pelvic health clinicians of all experience levels. We also highly encourage participation from clinicians who:
• Have an interest in pelvic health
• Treat postpartum patients in orthopedic practice
• Want to expand their confidence and clinical decision-making in pelvic health
Please note: No internal assessment or treatment techniques will be performed during this lab - we promise!

I was lucky enough to have the best DPT student this summer, we were together 14 weeks. She wrote me this very thoughtful thank you card and I wanted to share it because it exemplifies why I do what I do as a physical therapist.
I have always had a passion to help others, but teaching is one of the most rewarding things I have done in my career.
“ Dear Nadine, thank you so much for being such an incredible mentor and for being so patient with me over the past 14 weeks. I came into this clinical feeling completely unsure of myself and honestly not knowing where to start. From day one, you guided me with your knowledge, expertise, and encouragement, and because of you, I have grown so much in both my confidence and clinical skills. You are truly an exceptional clinician. The way you go above and beyond for every one of your patients is something I admire and will carry with me throughout my career. I’m feeling incredibly lucky to have you as my CI and to have learned from someone who not only has so much knowledge, but genuinely cares about the people she treats. Thank you for believing in me, challenging me and helping me become a better clinician. I can only hope to be half the PT you are one day. I’m sure our paths will cross again and I hope they do. Thank you again for everything. I will never forget this experience. I will miss you. “ Shelsy
So excited!! Shelsy is going to be joining our team in the Cohasset clinic providing pelvic health and orthopedic services this fall!

Endometriosis: What You Should Know

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. This can cause inflammation, pain, and sometimes fertility challenges.

Common symptoms include:
• Painful periods
• Pelvic pain between cycles
• Pain with in*******se
• Painful bowel movements or urination during menstruation
• Fatigue or bloating

Endometriosis affects about
1 in 10 women of reproductive age, yet many people wait years before receiving a diagnosis.

The good news:
Treatment options and supportive care—such as medication, surgery, lifestyle changes, and pelvic health physical therapy—can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

If pelvic pain is interfering with your life, it’s important to speak with a healthcare provider
