Wellstone Health Partners is a large multispecialty physician group affiliated with Seton Medical Center Harker Heights with offices in Killeen, Harker Heights and Belton. Wellstone Health Partners also has Primary Care offices in Killeen, Harker Heights and Belton. Many offices are conveniently located next to SMCHH in the Medical Pavilion. The group consists of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine

, OB/GYN, Urology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, General Surgery and ENT/Audiology. Wellstone also has Nurse Practitioners that support both our Primary Care and Specialty physicians and a Registered Dietitian on staff for consults. Our team of professionals is here to provide for all of your healthcare needs.

Big progress is happening at South Campus!

Our freestanding Emergency Department and clinic are taking shape, and with each new set of construction photos, it’s exciting to see this project come to life. Once complete, the facility will house a freestanding ED alongside a Wellstone Health Partners clinic — bringing both primary and specialty care closer to home for the Belton and Salado communities.

We’re building more than just a facility — we’re expanding access to the care you need, right where you need it. With a targeted opening in December 2026, we look forward to welcoming you through our doors.

We are incredibly grateful to the SLCL for inviting us to share more about the Seton Harker Heights South Campus. Thank you for such a warm welcome—it was truly a pleasure connecting with your membership.

We are excited to bring expanded healthcare access to the community, including a 24/7 Emergency Department along with primary care and specialty providers, all in one convenient location. Our goal is to ensure the care our communities need is not only high-quality but also easy to access.

Congratulations to Maria Ortiz, our May Power of One Award winner!

The Freedom Urgent Care team in Harker Heights was recently working to optimize their onboarding workflow, when longtime medical assistant Maria helped identify ways to improve how teams could work together. Since then, she has taken strong ownership of the process — sending paperwork quickly, keeping the team updated and helping new hires move through onboarding faster. Her leadership has strengthened teamwork across departments and is now inspiring similar improvements in other markets. Maria’s commitment has not only strengthened the process in Harker Heights but has also inspired similar improvements across other markets.
