Sunnyside Communities is seeking a full time Registered Dietitian to join our team in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

This position plays an important role in supporting the health and well being of residents across Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Independent Living through clinical nutrition services, nutrition education, and interdisciplinary care planning.

We are looking for a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about resident centered care and committed to helping older adults achieve their best possible quality of life.

Earlier this week, Sunnyside Communities hosted a special plant sale and swap fundraiser in support of the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. Employees and residents alike took home a few new plant friends to care for.

Yesterday, Sunnyside Communities hosted its 24th annual Senior Health and Fitness Day Health Fair at the Vitality Center in celebration of National Senior Health and Fitness Day.

The annual event brought together a wide range of local organizations dedicated to supporting health, wellness, and active aging throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Residents, team members, and community guests enjoyed health screenings, wellness resources, fitness demonstrations, educational opportunities, and meaningful connections focused on living well at every age.

At Sunnyside, wellness is about far more than physical health. Events like this reflect the community’s ongoing commitment to supporting the whole person through engagement, education, movement, and connection.

Across Sunnyside today, American flags wave outside homes lovingly cared for by generations who understand sacrifice, service, and love of country in a deeply personal way. Many of our residents lived through war years, waited for loved ones to come home, or served themselves. Their stories are woven into the heart of this community.

Today we pause to honor those who never made it home. We remember their courage. We carry forward their legacy. And we hold close the quiet reminder that a grateful nation never forgets.
