Most people don't come to us because they haven't seen anyone.

They come to us because they've seen everyone.

They've been through the appointments, the scans, the quick conversations, and the generic advice. Yet they're still dealing with the same pain, limitations, and unanswered questions.

One of the biggest things we hear from new patients isn't "my shoulder hurts" or "my back hurts."

It's: “I finally feel like someone listened." And that’s so important.

Because the best treatment plan in the world won't work if we don't understand the person sitting in front of us.

Before we talk exercises, hands-on treatment, or a plan of care, we want to understand your story, your goals, and what this problem is actually costing you.

Pain is personal. Your care should be too.

DM BEND and tell us what's been going on. We'll start by listening.

Disclaimer: While this post references some very real-world issues, stretching is not a recommended treatment for them. Send this to your one friend who’s always talking about stretching…

🚨 Needle trigger warning 🚨

Part 2 of our dry needling series 👇

Now that we’ve covered what dry needling is (and isn’t), here’s what it actually looks like in practice.

Dry needling can be a helpful tool to reduce pain, improve mobility, and create a temporary window for movement. But at Bend Movement, we don’t view it as the solution.

The real goal is using that window to build strength, improve movement, and get you back to doing what you love.

Have questions about dry needling or wondering if it might be helpful for your situation?

DM “BEND” to learn more.

So… you’re interested in Dry Needling.

First of all, what is it?

Dry needling is probably one of the most misunderstood tools we use in physical therapy.

Some people think it’s acupuncture, some people think it’s a magic fix, and some people even think it looks terrifying.

The reality is somewhere in the middle.

Dry needling uses a thin filament needle to target muscles and sensitive tissues that may be contributing to pain, stiffness, or movement limitations.

Can it help reduce pain? Absolutely.

Can it improve mobility? Often.

Can it solve every problem by itself? Not really.

Like exercise, manual therapy, and strength training, it’s simply one tool in the toolbox.

Swipe through to learn:
✅ What dry needling is
✅ What dry needling isn’t
✅ Common misconceptions we hear all the time

And stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll show what it actually looks like and explain why we use it with certain patients.

Part of being a business owner means doing the little things… like shepherding the geese out of the way for a clear walkway for our patients.

No geese were harmed in the making of this video 😂
