After knee surgery, firefighter Bradley has been working hard to safely return to the job and community that count on him. 🚒

As part of his work conditioning program, Bradley is completing job-specific exercises along with supplemental strength and conditioning to prepare for the physical demands of firefighting and help reduce his risk of reinjury.

Alan Alvarez, Amy Mussillo, Angie Rivera, and the Melbourne team have been there throughout his recovery, helping him build the strength and confidence needed to get back to work.

Every step forward brings Bradley closer to returning to what he does best: helping keep our community safe.

Thank you to CORA Physical Therapy Emily Hart DPT and Denise Overlock PTA for educating local athletic trainers and virtually athletic trainers attending nationally. It was our first hybrid event. All in, we had 80 athletic trainers getting free continuing education that evening. This group also got free dinner! Want to learn from excellent speakers across the country? Spot the difference: Eccentric Landmine Reverse Flys 🪽

Right side: more whole-body engagement, fluidity, and counterbalance from the opposite arm.

Left side: slower eccentric return with more focus on shoulder control and deceleration.

For throwing athletes, deceleration control plays a big role in throwing mechanics, shoulder control, and injury prevention, which is exactly the type of movement breakdown we’ll be covering in our upcoming course, Analysis of Pitching Mechanics: The Baseball Athlete. ⚾
