🎥 THE MAILMAN ANALOGY 📬
Think about a mailman… What do they actually do? What is their job?
Receiving and delivering mail. Right?
They don’t shake the envelope and say, “Hmm… feels like a birthday card.”
They don’t guess. They don’t assume. They don’t try to figure it out.
Now here’s the parallel with spelling to communicate:
When a speller is pointing to letters, it can be tempting to jump ahead…
to guess the word, to fill in the blanks, to try to make meaning too soon.
But that’s not our role.
We are not here to ASSUME, DECODE, or INTERPRET.
🚫 NOT ASSUMING what they’re going to say
🚫 NOT DECODING before they finish
🚫 NOT INTERPRETING mid-message
Our job is simple:
👉 RECEIVING each letter, one at a time.
Just like a mailman doesn’t open or analyze the message…
we don’t rush or predict the message.
✨ We honor it by receiving it fully.
So remember:
Just receive the letters. Be the mailman. 📬
