What an amazing day it was for the 1st Annual Highland Wee Care fishing tournament!
Every single participant received a special certificate for their incredible catch!
We also experienced the thrill of fishing with nets for letters and numbers and shared the excitement of our fantastic catch!
The older kids even got to go ice fishing in the classroom, learning about the importance of patience and discussing how quickly they thought the ice would melt so they could set their fish free! 🎣

This week was Community Helpers Week at Highland Wee Care, and we had some very special guests. A big thank you to the Sharp County Sheriff's Office for sending Bart and Sebastian to talk to the kids and show them their patrol car! 🚓 We'd also like to thank Scott and the Highland Fire Department for visiting today and letting the kids explore the truck! 🚒

We didn't let the rain keep us down today! We made an indoor obstacle course for everyone to get some energy out! 🌧

We ended teacher appreciation week last Friday with everyone making their own tote bag! We had special treats and snacks everyday and we played a very intense game of teacher bingo!! We are so grateful for these ladies and all of their hard work each and everyday!!
