More Than Just Pumpkins!

A big THANK YOU to Westrate Family Farm Market LLC for generously donating pumpkins for our residents at Reach for Recovery!

We are so grateful for community partners who believe in our mission and find meaningful ways to give back.

These aren't just pumpkins to carve. They're an opportunity to bring our residents together, share laughs, create memories, and maybe even reminisce about the days when we were little.

Recovery is about more than overcoming addiction. It's about rebuilding connections, finding a sense of belonging, and rediscovering the joy in life's simple moments. Sometimes, something as small as carving pumpkins together can spark a conversation, bring back a happy memory, or help someone feel a little more connected to the people around them.

These are the moments that matter. These are the connections we want to help create.

Thank you, Westrate Family Farm Market LLC, for helping us make those moments possible and for being part of a community that cares!

Want to make a difference, too? I'd love to connect with you! Let's find a meaningful way to partner together and give back to the community we serve. There's always an opportunity to make a difference, and sometimes the simplest gestures mean the most.

Stay tuned to see what our residents will be craving up next!

Ending the week with a little hope!

Today’s testimony comes from a recent Harbor House resident who successfully completed our program. We’re so proud of the courage, strength, and commitment it takes to take those steps toward a brighter future.

Stories like these remind us why we do what we do. Recovery is possible, hope is real, and new beginnings happen every day.

As we head into the weekend, let’s celebrate the progress, the milestones, and the possibilities that come with recovery.

Real stories. Real recovery. Real hope.

When should you get a second opinion? Honestly, whenever you can—especially when facing a significant diagnosis or financial impact.

A second opinion can provide peace of mind, help you make informed decisions, and protect you from bad actors.

At Reach for Recovery, we believe informed choices and trusted support are important parts of navigating recovery and healthcare.

Monday Motivation | A Feel-Good Story đź’š

Mondays are a fresh start, and sometimes a little reminder of hope is exactly what we need.

At Reach for Recovery, we believe recovery is possible, healing happens, and every story has the power to inspire someone else.

Today, we're sharing a heartfelt testimony from a Harbor House alumni that reminds us why hope matters and why recovery is worth celebrating.

Because behind every recovery journey is a story worth sharing.

A Story of Hope: Mikah’s Journey

My time at Harbor House was both challenging and rewarding. I arrived because my addiction had taken control of my life. I felt powerless, lost, and broken, and I had reached one of the darkest points in my life. I knew I needed help, but I did not yet know how to find my way back to myself.

At Harbor House, I began looking honestly at my trauma, my addiction, and the experiences behind many of the choices I had made. Healing meant facing the pain I had spent years trying to escape. Little by little, I learned patience, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, and accountability. Most importantly, I began discovering who I was beneath my addiction and understanding that my past did not have to define my future.

Reach for Recovery stood by me during some of the darkest moments of my life, even when I felt alone. They gave me opportunity after opportunity and continued to believe in me when I struggled to believe in myself. That kind of support changed my life. Sometimes, all a person needs is someone willing to believe in them until they can believe in themselves again.

On October 6, 2026, I graduated from Harbor House. Today, I am four months sober and living in a sober living home. I have chosen to continue in a structured environment because I know it helps protect my recovery and gives me the support I need to keep growing. Recovery requires commitment, honesty, accountability, and the willingness to keep doing the work one day at a time.

I am happy, grateful, and proud of how far I have come. My journey is not over, but I am no longer the person who walked through Harbor House’s doors feeling hopeless. I am learning to live, heal, forgive myself, and embrace the opportunities recovery has given me. My story is proof that even when life feels impossible, hope remains—and with compassionate support, people can find their way back to themselves.

Happy Boss’s Day from Reach for Recovery!

Today, we’re celebrating our leaders and recognizing that leadership doesn’t always come with a title.

It’s shown in the way we support one another, lead with compassion, encourage growth, and show up each day for the people and communities we serve.

At Reach for Recovery, we believe that every team member has the opportunity to make a difference through the way they lead, encourage, and inspire others.

Here’s to the leaders who guide us and the everyday leaders who make a difference in ways big and small!

Because leadership starts with all of us.
