Ever look at your kiddo’s paper and question why it looks like that? 😆

Scribbling is much more than making a mess. It’s one of the earliest ways children build the skills needed for handwriting, drawing, and learning. As scribbles become lines, circles, and eventually shapes, kids are developing hand strength, coordination, visual motor skills, and creativity. Every mark on the page is practice for future milestones. ✏️🖍️

Just be sure to be on the lookout for red flags 🚩 that may signal something more.

These words are more than vocabulary. They carry the values, stories, and spirit of Hawaiʻi.

Teaching our keiki is one big way we can help preserve and perpetuate the language and culture that make these islands home.

Through simple words spoken each day, we nurture connection, belonging, and a deeper appreciation for the place we live and the people who came before us.🤍

Rear-facing isn’t just a recommendation…it’s a necessity 🚨

A rear-facing car seat better supports your child’s head, neck, and spine by distributing crash forces across the entire body. Turning forward-facing too soon puts unnecessary strain on a child’s developing spine and significantly increases injury risk.

💡Keep them rear-facing as long as they meet the height and weight limits of their car seat (not just until they hit the minimum age).
