At the Academy for Healthcare Innovation (AHI), we believe everyone deserves the chance to build a fulfilling career in healthcare.

By providing accessible, high-quality healthcare training, we aim to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more diverse and inclusive healthcare workforce. Starting June 30, 2025, AHI will launch Medical Assistant, Nurse Aide, Surgical Instrument Processing Technician and Surgical Technologist training programs. Adults, including recent high school graduates, seeking to

Meet Mae Dorado, our Community Allied Health Education Program Manager, whose dedication to healthcare is rooted in her own journey of growth.

Mae began her path by working multiple jobs to pay for her schooling, securing a role in the field after just one semester. Over the next decade, she gained experience across pediatrics, cardiology, and surgery, eventually opening several successful practices.

Her transition from clinician to educator—including a role as an associate professor—was driven by a desire to mentor the next generation. At the Academy, Mae oversees our Medical Assistant program and reminds every student that with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, a rewarding career is possible.
