In this week’s He Momi, we reflect on ea—life, breath, respiration, and the ability to rise. King Kamehameha IV faced adversity overseas, the loss of his young son, and ongoing concerns for both his own health and the health of the people of Hawaiʻi. Yet through it all, he “kept his mana (spiritual strength) and ea strong,” setting forth a legacy that began with The Queen’s Hospital and continues today through The Queen’s Health Systems. 🤍
His commitment to caring for the people of Hawaiʻi continues to inspire the work we share at Queen’s each day.
