Life Seasons Support & Counseling Services

Life Seasons Support & Counseling Services I provide a wide range of faith based support services to individuals, families and our community. Hi!

I'm Beth McKee, LPC and the Owner of Life Seasons Support and Counseling Services! Welcome to Life Seasons Support and Counseling Services, a practice rooted in faith and a passion for holistic healing. Having walked through my own seasons of darkness, I bring a profound empathy and understanding to my work, offering hope and practical guidance to those facing life’s challenges. The Life Seasons a

pproach uniquely blends biblical truth with scientifically grounded principles, demonstrating how God has intricately designed the human mind to experience renewal and healing. I do my best to help clients see that the biblical call to “renew your mind” is not just a spiritual directive but an evidence-based reality supported by neuroscience and psychology. With over two decades of personal professional experience, Life Seasons creates a safe space for individuals, families, and groups to explore emotional healing, strengthen relationships, and align their mental health with spiritual growth. Our work here reflects my passion for helping others discover their God-given purpose and walk confidently in the truth of who they are. Whether leading faith-based workshops, developing self-study materials, or providing one-on-one counseling, my mission is to let the Holy Spirit inspire transformation, healing, and connection. Life Seasons reflects my calling to walk alongside others in every season of life, offering the light of God’s truth and the promise of renewal

Retreat Food Thoughts:

All right .... I know I usually make white chicken chili but this is looking really good! Pretty sure Andy's going to make his traditional red chili and try and claim first place so what are your thoughts? We will have a vegetarian soup as well.

Sometimes we don't need another lecture, another consequence, or even another person trying to “fix” us.

Sometimes we simply need a safe place to talk with someone outside of our everyday circle.

That’s exactly what our Support Services are designed to provide.

Support Services are non-clinical, faith-based sessions for kids, teens, young adults, parents, couples, and adults who could use encouragement, practical guidance, education, emotional support, accountability or just a steady person to walk with them through a difficult season.

Sessions can be offered in office, virtually, or in the community, and they can stand alone or work alongside ongoing therapy.

Sometimes one good conversation really can make a difference.

Support Services start at $65/hour.

Educators - public school, private school, and homeschooers, we mean you!

You see the struggles that don't always fit neatly into the school day. When a student, parent, fellow educator or you, needs a little more support, we want you to know we're here.

You don't have to know exactly what is needed or how to fix it.

You just need to know where they can start.

Keep Life Seasons in your back pocket. 💚

Homeschooling gives families some incredible opportunities, but it also comes with real challenges. Kids still experience anxiety, big emotions, conflict, friendship struggles, pressure, and disappointment. Parents still wrestle with when to step in, when to step back, and how to help without carrying everything for their child.

That is where these Life Seasons Parent Workshops come in.

Each workshop is designed to blend biblical truth, practical tools, and an understanding of how God created the brain and nervous system so parents leave encouraged, equipped, and with something they can actually use.

Popular topics include:

Divinely Designed: Different Types of “Smarts”
Helping parents recognize the ways their child is already intelligent, capable, and uniquely wired, then learning how to use those strengths to make learning, motivation, and family life work better.

Helping My Child With Their Emotions While Managing My Own
Practical tools for helping kids and teens regulate their emotions while also learning how to stay grounded ourselves when everyone is overwhelmed.

When Helping Becomes a Hindrance
Exploring the difference between healthy support and overhelping, including people-pleasing, enabling, rescuing, fear of letting kids fail, and the boundaries that help children grow in responsibility and resilience.

Mean Girls, Bullies & Pushy Parents
Because homeschool communities are still made up of people. This workshop focuses on healthy relational boundaries, conflict, exclusion, difficult personalities, and helping both kids and parents navigate relationships with wisdom and confidence.

A verse that captures the heart behind much of this work is:

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault…” - James 1:5

Parenting requires wisdom constantly. Not perfection. Not having every answer. Wisdom to know when to intervene, when to wait, when to comfort, when to challenge, and when to let growth happen.

If your homeschool community, co-op, parent group, or church would like to schedule a Laugh and Learn Parent Workshop, call or text 304-840-9300 or visit life-seasons.com.

Today I told someone:
“We need to make some breathing room in your life.”

Her immediate response?
“I don't have time for that.”

Fair. 😂

My response was perhaps a little blunt:
“Oxygen matters.”

But there is actually a whole lot of truth packed into that exchange.

When we're overloaded, the things that help our brain and body regulate are often the first things we decide we don't have time for.

Rest. Margin. Movement. Prayer. Quiet. Time outside. Eating an actual meal. Taking a few minutes to breathe and let our nervous system settle.

We'll make room when things slow down.

Except sometimes...they don't.
Sometimes there isn't one giant problem to solve. There are just too many tabs open.

Things to remember. Decisions to make. Conversations we're avoiding. Responsibilities. Worries. Unfinished tasks. Emotional stuff we haven't dealt with. Things we're trying to control that aren't actually ours to control.

Individually, we might be able to handle every one of them.
Collectively, we're overloaded.
And creating breathing room isn't always about learning another coping skill or figuring out how to squeeze self-care into an already overcrowded schedule.

Sometimes we actually need to close some tabs.

That's exactly what we work on in my 90-minute Life Seasons workshop, Finding Rest in the Restlessness of Life.

We look at what stress and overload actually do to the brain, identify the tabs consuming your mental and emotional resources, and then start sorting them:

What needs done?
What needs scheduled?
What can be outsourced?
Where is a boundary needed?
What needs to be grieved or processed?
What do I simply need to release to God?

Because the goal isn't to become better at functioning with 47 tabs open.

Sometimes we need to close a few because oxygen matters. 😂

Comment "Rewired" If you want notified of the next pop up!

These pics were taken from our last REWIRED. This is NOT an exercise class for your body. It’s one for your mind and spirit.

(Although your body might benefit too.)

REWIRED is a guided outdoor experience designed to help you slow down, disconnect from the noise, reconnect with the present moment, and intentionally train your attention.

You can walk, wander, or find a bench or quiet space where you feel connected and simply sit.

We’ll combine biblical truth, practical neuroscience, mindfulness, and time outdoors in a simple, low-pressure experience.

No fitness level required. No keeping up. No performance.

Just breathing, noticing, being present, and learning how to be where your feet are.

REWIRED will be offered as pop-up events throughout the year.
$20 per person

Text 304-840-9300 if you’d like to be added to the contact list for upcoming dates.
