Give some 👏🏽 to our recent vision therapist grad! Here’s what his mom had to say: “We were very happy with our vision therapist, Ginger, who brought the skills and patience to work with Theo and assist him in making good goals for when he first started.

Great staff, great with all types of ages and backgrounds. “

🦈 It’s shark week! Try the visual divergence shark challenge. Relax your eyes, pointing them as if you’re looking through the screen. If you can do this not only will you see a shark in the middle with all its features, it means your brain can coordinate information from both eyes, a skill important for depth perception and visual comfort.

👀 👩‍🎓 “My eyesight started getting blurry and sometimes I saw double when my eyes got tired, for example when I read a lot. Now I almost never see double or get blurry vision! My favorite part of VT was the computer games, for example the converge/diverge car game.

You get Summit bucks and you can use them to buy cool toys and things.”

👏🏽 Way to go, Kai! You worked hard and gained so many visual skills. Best of luck to your future!

Yes, yes, yes!! “I was having trouble focusing my eyes together. It caused me to sometimes see double and struggle with depth perception and spatial awareness. It also made school harder as my eyes would get distracted by everything in the room while I needed to focus on the teacher. I can now control and focus my eyes together, making everyday life and playing baseball easier. Teresa and Dr. Tina helped me make the all-star team this year, and my favorite part of vision therapy is how they related it to baseball. I also loved earning bucks.

Vision therapy is hard and can be very frustrating at times. Daily at home exercises and traveling 4 hours once a week for in person therapy took a ton of effort, but it was worth it! Vision therapy won’t be easy, but you truly get from it what you put into it. Take it one day at a time, make daily exercises your norm, and celebrate small successes.”

Way to go, Jack We wish you the best depth perception and spatial awareness in every game going forward in your life. ⚾️

☀️ Shoutout to EMILY! She recently graduated from her vision therapy program. Here’s what her mom had to say:
“Emily didn’t know she wasn’t seeing well. Her previous eye exams showed 20/20 vision. But school, especially reading smaller & denser texts, was very hard. Words, sentences, and letters moved around. Also, moving in the world was a little bit challegning with lots of stumbling, tripping, running into edges and corners.

Afterwards, reading is much easier! It’s actually fun to read! Emily WANTS to read. Schools is more interesting because it is understandable & can be done more independently. Also, no more tripping on the stairs.

Emily enjoyed every single session. She loved how positive her therapist, Teresa, was in all the progress made. Mom also benefited from the encouragement & reassurance that Teresa & Dr. Ashley gave. Also the Summit bucks were SO motivating! Fantastic reinforcement tool.”

We are proud of you Emily (and mom!) It takes a team, and you two were a fantastic duo! 📕 ❤️

Wow! Another remarkable graduate! Maggie said, “In soccer it was harder to score goals because it was hard to see the ball so I always missed it. So, I joined vision therapy and I got more goals. It has also been helpful for softball. Now I’M SCORING HOME RUNS!!!!!!

Join vision therapy! It’s fun. You get to do a lot of fun activities. Also, you get bucks and get to buy stuff.”

“I am thrilled to share my experience at Summit Vision Center where I achieved
recovery for an impairment after 6 month treatment and I am very grateful for the incredible team at Summit Vision Center that made it possible.

A heartfelt thank you ta Dr. Ashley whose expertise, professionalism and genuine dedication to her patients. Her outstanding care made all the difference.

An equally huge THANK YOU to Ross, COVT, my eye therapist, who brought so much energy, encouragement and skill to every single session. Ross’ passion for helping his patients recover is so evident _ and so appreciated.

And let’s not forget the wonderful office staff - friendly, warm and welcoming.

If you are looking for an eye care team, consider Summit Vision Center - highly highly recommended!” - Jean Luc

Thank you, Jean Luc for sharing your experience.💪 We are happy for you having resolution to your symptoms.

☀️ Show some ❤️ to our recent graduate! “Mason was able to increase his words read per minute, read bigger books and read faster. He was improving in throwing touchdown passes and also was able to start baseball and picked it up very quickly.

I was very glad we signed Mason up. A lot of the things he improved on I didn’t realize were a problem until I saw the improvement. It also helpd to see where his struggles were to offer support in school to help these.” - Mason’s Mom

Awesome commitment, Mason 💪 We wish you top notch depth perception in all your 🏈 and ⚾️ games going forward.
