Those circular marks you see after cupping? They're completely normal.
While they may look similar to bruises, they're actually a normal response to the gentle suction created by the cups. The color of the marks can range from light pink to deep purple and varies based on factors like your skin, circulation, capillary fragility, the amount of suction used, and how long the cups are left in place. The marks typically fade gradually over 1–2 weeks.
Unlike massage, which applies pressure to the tissues, cupping gently lifts them. This can help increase circulation, reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and support your body's natural healing process. Many clients find cupping especially helpful for stubborn tightness in the neck, shoulders, back, and hips.
