Your mom is not going to tell you she fell.

She'll tell you she's fine. The bruise was from the garden. The empty fridge is because she "just hasn't shopped yet." Parents protect their kids, even when the kids are 55.

So the calls we get every week start the same way: "I'm not sure I even need anything yet, but..." And then the rest comes out. The unopened bills. The near miss in the car. The loneliness.

Here's what we tell every family: this usually doesn't mean a nursing home. Most of the time it means a few hours of help each week. A real meal cooked, a ride to the doctor, the house kept up, good company in the chair next to hers.

We're Our Family Friend, a local home care team in Jackson and Chelsea. We've been having these conversations with our neighbors since 2013, and even if the answer is "not yet," you'll hang up knowing your options.

Meet Our CEO, Dee πŸ’™

Thirteen years ago, Our Family Friend began with one client, Vern.
What started as helping one family quickly grew through friends telling friends, neighbors recommending neighbors, and word of mouth from people who experienced compassionate care firsthand. Today, we've had the privilege of caring for thousands of older adults and their families throughout our community.
Even after all these years, Dee remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Our Family Friend. You'll still find her supporting clients, mentoring our team, solving challenges, and making sure every family receives the level of care she envisioned from the very beginning.
Her passion has always been simple: helping older adults safely age in the place they love most, home.
Thank you for trusting our family to care for yours. We couldn't have reached this milestone without the incredible clients, families, caregivers, and community who have supported us along the way.

Two years with Lori and we could not be more grateful!

For two years, Lori has shown up for her clients with consistency, compassion, and a level of care that truly sets her apart. She is the kind of caregiver who does not just do the job, she makes a real difference in people's lives every single visit. Two years in and her dedication speaks for itself.

Happy work anniversary, Lori. Thank you for everything you bring to Our Family Friend and to the clients who count on you. Here's to many more! πŸŽ‰

Help us congratulate these four amazing leaders on their well-deserved promotions!
One of our favorite things at Our Family Friend is promoting from within. Jamie, Logan, Brenden, and Aliyah have each earned these opportunities through their hard work, leadership, and the way they live out our core values every single day. We're so lucky to have them on our team!
Jamie has taken on a new role as our Senior Client Care Manager, where she'll help ensure every client receives exceptional care through thoughtful care planning, scheduling, and caregiver matching.
Logan is taking on a new position as our Client Experience Ambassador! He'll be creating even more meaningful moments for our clients through birthday celebrations, life enrichment activities, community events, and the little touches that make people feel special.
Brenden has stepped into the role of Marketing & Talent Acquisition Manager. He'll be helping us connect with more families in our communities while recruiting the incredible caregivers who make Our Family Friend so special.
Aliyah has been promoted to our Emergency Response Team Lead & Trainer. She'll continue supporting clients in urgent situations while leading caregiver training to help our team provide the highest quality care possible.
Please help us congratulate Jamie, Logan, Brenden, and Aliyah in the comments! We can't wait to see all they'll accomplish in these new roles. πŸ’™πŸ’Ό
