What if your pain isn’t actually coming from where it hurts?
If you spend hours sitting at a desk, driving, or looking down at your phone, the muscles in the front of your body aka your chest, shoulders, and even the front of your neck, can become tight and shortened.
When that happens, they pull your shoulders forward and your head out of alignment, forcing the muscles in your upper back and neck to work overtime just to keep you upright.
So while the pain is in your neck and upper back, the real source of the tension may actually be in the front of your body.
That’s why at ARB, we don’t just massage where it hurts. We assess how your body moves, try to identify what’s creating the tension, and treat the source, not just the symptoms.
