One week left to provide us with your feedback on enhancing our programming!

In partnership with Cornell University's Public Health program, we are launching two surveys aimed at improving social connections across our agency and community.

Our second survey, "How to Use HCA Space", will help us evaluate how we can use our resources to effectively enhance individuals' desired programming and interests. It is open to individuals and caregivers alike.

The survey should only take a few minutes, and everyone who completes it will be entered to win a $25 gift card.

The survey can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScSxQHdNsTneB4qovxw5dnYBPyAqlPLvE0kC9HqvVUZ565WpQ/viewform

Caregivers, there's still one week left to provide us with your feedback!

In partnership with Cornell University's Public Health program, we are launching two surveys aimed at improving social connections across our agency and community.

Our first survey, "Caregiving Network Development", is designed to help us identify programming that can better inform caregivers' experiences and build a community of support.

The survey will only take a few minutes, and everyone who completes it will be entered to win a $25 gift card.

The survey can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemF_VkP49VguY9qyz7UNQ13-efOj_SHER6t5PxGyRw-EKlaA/viewform?fbzx=3531859155067641735

HCA is proud to introduce our new Community-Based Pre-Vocational (Pre-Voc) Program, welcoming Micah and Joseph. This program is designed to help individuals build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to prepare for future employment and greater independence.
Through classroom instruction, hands-on learning, and community-based activities, participants will gain an understanding of workplace expectations while developing the skills employers value most. Topics include communication, teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, workplace safety, following directions, time management, professionalism, and other essential work-readiness skills.

We had an amazing time last Friday at our 3rd Annual ADA Celebration!

This event honored the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a landmark civil rights law, signed on July 26, 1990, that protects the rights of people with disabilities and ensures equal access to jobs, schools, public spaces, transportation, and more.

A highlight of the celebration was emphasizing the importance of self-advocacy and making sure people with disabilities have the chance to share their voices and be active participants in decisions that affect their lives.

A huge thank you to our community partners, volunteers, advocates, and everyone who attended for making this celebration a success and continuing to support a more inclusive world!
