Whether you were here for the 2011 tornado or not, live here long enough and you will inevitably see the impacts of a storm.

Over the years we’ve learned a lot about preparation.

The minute Doug Heady says there’s a potential threat, we jump. We prep our storm shelters. We charge batteries, we pull out candles, we make sure our family has a plan.

It feels good to be HOME

Moving around a ton growing up made home a very relative term. And to be frank, Joplin was never supposed to be “home.” When we moved to town in 2011, we never dreamed we would call this town home.

But the truth is, we fell in love with the community. The people, the town and the potential we see in both.

Laying down roots on Main St. feels like we have finally found our home in Joplin.
