People often spend years chasing symptoms without ever understanding the deeper patterns driving them. Low energy, weight gain, hair loss, burnout, anxiety, brain fog, hormone imbalance, autoimmune patterns, digestive dysfunction, poor sleep, feeling inflamed or just never fully recovering no matter how healthy they try to be.

One of the reasons I love HTMA so much is because it helps reveal patterns beneath the surface that are often missed. Instead of only looking at isolated symptoms, HTMA helps us look at stress patterns, mineral balance, metabolism, nervous system function, and how the body is actually adapting over time.

For example, many people struggling with thyroid symptoms assume the thyroid itself is the entire issue. But on HTMA we often see deeper patterns underneath it such as adrenal burnout, chronic stress chemistry, low sodium and potassium reserves, copper imbalance, slow metabolic patterns, nervous system dysregulation, or chronic inflammatory stress.

Hair loss patterns can correlate with mineral imbalances, chronic stress physiology, low protein utilization, poor digestion and absorption, copper imbalance, or iron dysregulation.

People struggling with weight often show patterns related to slow oxidation, blood sugar instability, chronic sympathetic nervous system activation, stress related metabolic slowing, inflammatory patterns, or long term mineral depletion.

The “wired but tired” person who feels anxious, overwhelmed, overstimulated, exhausted, and unable to truly relax often shows patterns like fast oxidation, low sodium and potassium reserves, calcium shell patterns, adrenal stress, magnesium retention, and chronic nervous system hypervigilance.

Even digestive symptoms can reveal deeper terrain issues. We commonly see patterns related to low stomach acid, impaired bile flow, poor zinc status, chronic stress physiology, sluggish motility, and mineral imbalances affecting enzyme production and digestion overall.

So many people stay stuck because they are trying random supplements, detoxes, restrictive diets, or the newest wellness trend without understanding the terrain they are actually working with. HTMA gives us a much clearer roadmap so we can stop guessing and start supporting the body more strategically and individually.

If you feel like you’ve been doing “all the right things” but still are not fully healing, HTMA may help uncover some of the missing pieces.

Yesterday, Lisa Barto returned home to Reno after spending the week here at Holistic Partners on 9th offering Apitherapy sessions. Before leaving, she took the time to make this heartfelt video about me and the space I’ve created at HP9.

For those of you who remember where this office started a little over a year ago, it means more than I can say to hear another practitioner recognize what this space has become. When we first stepped into this building, it was drab, worn down, and honestly not very beautiful. So much love, vision, effort, and intention has gone into transforming it into what it is today.

More than anything though, what matters most to me is how people feel when they walk through the door.

I truly love what I do. More than the paycheck, it’s about helping people. Seeing hope on someone’s face for the first time in years, hearing relief in their voice when I ask how they’re feeling, watching someone finally feel seen and supported… that’s why I do this work.

Lisa, thank you for your kind words, your presence, and the beautiful medicine you brought to our community. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Michigan again soon.

You don’t think twice about buying the next “super supplement” or something that sounds like it just might finally be the thing that fixes your issues.

The mitochondria boosters.
The nootropics.
The metabolism balancers.
The adaptogens.
The newest wellness trend everyone is suddenly talking about.

They might help for a minute. You may even notice a temporary boost. But months or years later, many people are still exhausted, inflamed, struggling with weight, dealing with autoimmune symptoms, brain fog, burnout, hormone issues, or feeling like they’re constantly searching for the next thing that could finally be the answer.

What if for under $250 you could get a much deeper look into why your body is struggling in the first place?

You can. It’s called Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, or HTMA.

HTMA looks at mineral patterns, stress patterns, metabolism, nervous system function, adrenal patterns, oxidation rate, toxic element trends, and how your body is actually adapting beneath the surface.

This is often where we start uncovering why someone feels chronically depleted, stuck in fight or flight, exhausted but wired, unable to lose weight, struggling with chronic inflammation, poor resilience, burnout, hormone imbalance, digestive dysfunction, or autoimmune patterns.

Instead of randomly guessing with supplements, HTMA helps us create a more targeted and personalized approach based on your terrain and physiology.

ADD and ADHD are often viewed only through the lens of behavior or neurotransmitters, but in homeopathy we look at the whole pattern of the person.

Homeopathy is individualized. The goal is not to “force” focus. The goal is to support the nervous system and help the body move toward better balance and regulation.

One of the most important ideas in homeopathy is this:
You choose the remedy that most sounds like you or the person you are supporting.

Not just the diagnosis.
Not just “can’t focus.”

The personality, reactions, emotions, sensitivities, fears, energy patterns, sleep patterns, and nervous system tendencies all matter.

Two people with ADD may need completely different remedies because their underlying patterns are different.

Here are a few remedies often discussed in homeopathic approaches to ADD/ADHD patterns:

• Coffea cruda
This remedy is often associated with a mind that simply cannot slow down. Thoughts race constantly. The person may be highly sensitive to noise, stimulation, excitement, caffeine, or emotional intensity. Sleep can be difficult because the brain keeps going and going. These are often bright, creative, mentally active people whose nervous systems stay “on” all the time.

• Tarentula hispanica
Often connected with hyperactivity, impulsiveness, intensity, constant movement, and difficulty sitting still. These individuals may feel driven internally, crave stimulation, music, rhythm, or movement, and may become frustrated quickly when confined or bored. There can be a very “busy” quality to both the body and mind. https://amzn.to/3RtIKqm

• Tuberculinum
This remedy pattern is often associated with restlessness, boredom, dissatisfaction, sensation seeking, and constantly needing change or novelty. The person may lose interest quickly, struggle with routine, crave travel or stimulation, and feel trapped by repetitive environments. Focus may improve when excitement or novelty is present. https://amzn.to/43ev4SV

• Calcarea phosphorica
Frequently discussed for children who are mentally scattered, sensitive, tired, or struggling with growth and development. These individuals may seem mentally fatigued, have trouble concentrating in school, or become easily overwhelmed. There is often a depleted or undernourished feeling to the nervous system.

• Lycopodium
Often considered when confidence issues exist beneath the surface. The person may appear intelligent and capable but internally struggles with self doubt, overwhelm, procrastination, or performance anxiety. Focus problems may worsen under pressure or fear of failure. There can also be digestive weakness, bloating, or stress-related gut symptoms alongside the mental symptoms. https://amzn.to/3RkAAAG

• Natrum muriaticum
This pattern is often more inward and emotionally guarded. The person may hold stress internally, overthink, replay emotional experiences, and appear serious or reserved. Concentration difficulties may come from emotional burden, nervous system tension, or constantly living in the mind. https://amzn.to/4f18Pa2

• Stramonium
More commonly discussed in cases with intense nervous system dysregulation, fear states, emotional explosiveness, night terrors, or strong overstimulation. The nervous system may feel “stuck on high alert,” making focus and regulation difficult. https://amzn.to/4uvjpuG

From a holistic perspective, focus challenges are often connected to much more than attention itself. Nervous system overload, poor sleep, inflammation, blood sugar swings, excessive screen stimulation, mineral depletion, emotional stress, lack of movement, digestive weakness, and constant sympathetic activation can all contribute.

Sometimes the nervous system is not lacking stimulation.
Sometimes it is lacking safety, rhythm, nourishment, grounding, and recovery.
