“I could never float. My brain is way too busy.”
I hear this all the time—and honestly, I get it.
My brain is busy too. I did not immediately fall in love with floating. It took me three floats before something suddenly shifted.
Then I understood it.
I stopped trying to make my mind go blank. I settled in more easily. I let the experience be whatever it was going to be.
And after that? I actually started craving floats.
You do not need to be good at relaxing. You do not need to stop every thought. And you definitely do not have to love your first float to eventually understand why people keep coming back.
Sometimes your nervous system just needs a little practice realizing it is finally allowed to let go.
