🧡Centrica Journeys offers year-round grief counseling FREE and OPEN to the public for children, teens and their families who are hurting after the death of a loved one.

🧡Art, music, interaction and included dinner encourage children and teens to express feelings, share memories and learn how to cope with their forever-changed lives.

🦋Recently, annual Memorial Butterfly Release events were held, one in Paw Paw, MI and a second in Battle Creek, MI. With over 150 people in attendance alongside grief counselors, volunteers, philanthropy staff, music therapists, and spiritual care providers, we had the opportunity to offer these memorials to help raise funds for grief support through the generosity of sponsorships and the purchase of butterflies, keepsake ornaments, donations, and t-shirts.

🧡Most importantly, there was space for reflection and to honor the memory of loved ones through releasing a butterfly.

We are grateful to all of those who volunteered, joined with us, and supported our community.

No one should face their final days alone. For Battle Creek patients and families facing serious, chronic, or terminal illness, a volunteer can offer comfort, connection, and meaningful moments of respite, joy, and quality of life.
