Thank you so much to our community partners who came to our Scoop and Serve event yesterday. It was wonderful to spend time with you all in person.

Strong alliances between nonprofits make for a stronger community. That's why we spend so much time meeting and learning from local leaders to see where our strengths as an agency can be most useful in strengthening the well-being of our community. Thankfully, we work in Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties where nonprofits are increasingly coming together to pool resources, people power, and brainstorming to affect real change for those who need it most.

Last Friday, the Western Michigan University's Women's Soccer team and support staff volunteered at the agency. They handled a variety of tasks ranging from weeding to helping us prepare for our client picnic. To them, it was just a few hours doing basic tasks but to us, it was so much more. The work they did will allow us to readily and easily serve our clients when we are needed, and ensure that when clients come to the agency, they feel the dignity they deserve with the peaceful and beautiful campus!

Thank you, ladies and (and a few gentlemen) for volunteering with us. We appreciate you!

Thank you so much to our friends at Midwest Enterprises for the Blind for their donations to our Pack a Child for Camp program! They brought in flip flops, towels, water shoes, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, laundry baskets, bug spray, sunscreen, and bandaids for our campers.

Our Summer Enrichment campaign that sends our young clients to places like camp, ensures they have access to quality summer programming, regardless of their ability to pay. Partners like Midwest Enterprises for the Blind help make our clients feel just as prepared and supported as their peers, too.

This week, we held our quarterly Town Hall, a dedicated time to answer staff questions, share Agency updates, and have open conversations about what matters most to our team.

The discussion was engaging, thoughtful, and filled with active participation. We're grateful to everyone who joined and shared their questions, ideas, and perspectives.

Open communication and transparency are core to our leadership approach. Events like these help foster a workplace where every team member feels heard, valued, and empowered to contribute.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this Town Hall such a success!
