The Great Fish Community Challenge has raised over $7.5 million this year, and we have just surpassed $90,000!!! 🎉

We are humbled, impressed, a little bewildered, and truly honored to be part of this incredible community. It’s amazing to see the difference we can make together in the lives of our seniors.

Thanks to YOU, we’ve surpassed our $60,000 Great Fish Community Challenge goal—and we still have until Friday, September 11 to make an even bigger difference for older adults! ❤️

Every additional dollar helps us provide more meaningful trips through our Connections Program, more quality-of-life programming, and move closer to completing all 43 in-room upgrades at The Retreat.

These aren’t just numbers, they’re moments of joy, connection, safety, and purpose.

We asked Pastor Andy to share his favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to him.

📖 “I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:24

The verse comes from the story of a father seeking Jesus’ help for his son, who is suffering from an ailment described much like epilepsy. After pleading for Jesus’ compassion, the father responds, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

Pastor Andy loves this verse because it is such an honest expression of faith. It shows that we can believe while still experiencing moments of doubt and uncertainty. He appreciates the father’s honesty, Jesus’ compassion and the reminder that faith doesn’t always mean having complete certainty.

The story also hits close to home for Pastor Andy, who witnessed his own mother experience two epileptic seizures.

Supporting others through difficult times is an important part of Pastor Andy’s ministry at Immanuel Living.

Beginning September 8, he will lead a five-week Grief Group for those navigating loss. See the details above. All are welcome.🩵
