“Ticks are a familiar part of outdoor life in Tennessee, especially from March through October. They can transmit infections that range from mild to serious. Most tick bites do not transmit disease, but tick-borne illnesses are increasing in Tennessee. Common tick-borne infections in Tennessee include Rocky Mountain spotted fever, ehrlichiosis, Lyme disease, and alpha-gal syndrome."
