Environmental Stress, Recovery, and Healthy Aging
The human body is constantly adapting to its environment. Every day, we experience different forms of stress including UV exposure from the sun, heat, physical activity, mental demands, and the natural aging process.
While sunlight and physical activity are important parts of a healthy lifestyle, excessive environmental stress can increase oxidative stress and place additional demands on the body’s ability to recover and adapt.
Recovery is not simply about resting after activity. It is the process of creating the right environment for the body to repair, adapt, and become more resilient.
