Happy to Lina Lindgren of Visiting Angels St Charles, MO! Lina was recognized as one of the 2026 Caregiver of the Year semi-finalists!

“Lina is reliable with a smile and can meet any client’s needs. She gives 110% effort every time she is in a client’s home. She speaks in a soft calm way that makes everyone feel at ease with her. When she enters a home, she does not take over, rather she asks questions. She immediately wants to know how she can make their day better. She will ask “how can I make you more comfortable?” She is great at finding small details to brighten a client’s day, whether it’s opening the curtains that normally remain closed, playing music, or bringing her own games to interact with the client.”

Happy Mother's Day from all of us at Visiting Angels Olympia. 💐

Today we celebrate the women who shaped us — mothers, grandmothers, aunts, mentors, and chosen family. The ones who taught us, comforted us, and showed us what love looks like in action.

For many of the families we serve, Mother's Day looks a little different now. Maybe Mom needs more help these days. Maybe you're the one making the calls, managing the medications, and showing up to make sure she's okay. That kind of quiet, daily, hands-on love is no small thing.

To every mother being celebrated today, every adult child caring for an aging mom, and every caregiver on our team who loves the families they serve like their own — thank you.

Wishing you a Mother's Day filled with love, laughter, and a few moments of peace. ❤️

Today is Military Spouse Appreciation Day.
To the husbands and wives who hold down the home front — managing households, raising children, supporting family, and keeping life moving while their service member is deployed or away — thank you. Your strength is its own kind of service.

At Visiting Angels Olympia, the military community runs through every part of who we are. More than half of the clients we serve are veterans, often cared for by the spouses who've stood beside them through every chapter. And many of the staff on our care team are military spouses themselves — bringing the same dedication, flexibility, and heart to the families we serve that they bring to their own.

To every military spouse — those we serve, those we work alongside, and those throughout our community — your love, patience, and quiet courage do not go unnoticed.
Thank you for everything you carry. ❤️

Sofie's Tips: A May Reset
Hi everyone, it's Sofie! May is the sweet spot of spring — flowers blooming, longer days, and the perfect time for a mid-season reset. Here are a few of my favorite ways to refresh:
Your space: Tackle one room at a time, open the windows, and give everything a proper home. (My toys live in their own basket — very tidy!)
Your routine: Plan your meals, get to bed earlier, and build a morning routine you actually look forward to.
Your mindset: Let go of what's weighing you down. Practice a few minutes of mindfulness or deep breathing each day. Schedule the massage. Take the long bath. (And accept all belly rubs offered.)
Your fun: Plant something, explore a new walking trail, play music that makes you move, and spend time with the people — and pups — who light you up.
May is the heart of spring. What's one small change you'll make this month? 🌷🐾

May is National Stroke Awareness Month.
Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and long-term disability in adults — but recognizing it early can save a life. Every minute counts.
Remember FAST:
F — Face Drooping. Ask them to smile. Does one side droop?
A — Arm Weakness. Ask them to raise both arms. Does one drift down?
S — Speech Difficulty. Is their speech slurred or hard to understand?
T — Time to Call 911. If you see any of these signs, call right away.
At Visiting Angels Olympia, our caregivers are trained to recognize the warning signs of stroke and other emergencies in the homes we serve. If you have an aging loved one, take a moment this month to share FAST with everyone in their circle of care — family, friends, and neighbors.
When in doubt, call. It's always better to act fast. ❤️
