Gender expression is one way we communicate who we are to the world. When we feel free to show up as ourselves, we often experience a stronger sense of alignment between our inner and outer worlds.

Our gender expression can change over time.
It can look different from day to day.
And it doesn't have to fit anyone else's expectations.

Everyone deserves the freedom to explore and express themselves in ways that feel authentic, affirming, and true to who they are.

Not everyone gets to choose the family they were born into, but many of us get the opportunity to build the family we need.
Chosen family can be a powerful source of connection, belonging, affirmation, and support, especially for LGBTQ+ folx navigating spaces where they may not feel fully seen or accepted. These chosen members remind us that we don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.

Pride is personal to us. Hey, it’s August. I know firsthand what pride means to a lot of people because it means a lot to me. As a non-binary and q***r Mexican individual, my right to exist is constantly being fought about in government buildings. What saved me for so many years was journaling. The more i understood myself the more I resisted what I was supposed to “look” like as someone born female. The more I wrote about my story, thoughts, and feelings the more tools I had to tell my friends and family who I really am. That journey hasn’t changed for me. Kiley and I INVITE people to start this journey with us. This pride month feels intense but impactful. We have to resist in any way we can. Why do you think they want to ban and burn all the books? Realistic wellness means we lean on each other. We can’t do it all on our own, and that is why organizations exist! We want to thank all of our amazing vendors for coming out on Friday and providing their services to the LGBTQ+ community in Portland, OR. We can’t wait to get together again. Some special thank yous to the for providing the space and support with this event, for donating 2 big jugs of delicious aguas frescas, and for providing us with some yummy cookies!

We are ONE week away from our Pride Resource Fair! Come by and learn more about the amazing mental health related organizations you can find here in our PDX community. This May Mental Health Month is all about togetherness and leaning on support during these challenging times. We are here to support anyone in the LGBTQ+ community and our allies. All you have to do is stop by each vendor, get a stamp, and enter a chance to win one of our featured prizes.
