Today is world running day! 🏃As you lace up and hit the pavement, be sure to keep these tips in mind.
1. Give your shoes time to recover
Just like you need time to recover after run, your shoes do too! The cushioning foam can take from 24–48 hours to reset and allowing time to regain their shape can help your shoes last longer and avoid joint pain.
2. Replace your shoes frequently
Worn out footwear loses cushioning and support overtime, so be sure to replace your shoes regularly or rotate between pairs to help reduce stress and pain on your joints.
3. Rest after surgery
We are dedicated to getting you back out there as soon as possible so after an orthopedic surgery, it is important to take the time to heal.
4. Schedule an appointment with DOC!
Don’t put off pain. We are here to help understand what could be causing your pain and how we can get you back out there. If you are experiencing pain from running, click here to schedule an appointment online: https://www.doclv.com/appointments
