25 years later, we remember.

On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a tragedy that changed countless lives and left an imprint that a quarter-century has not erased.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost. We honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, service members, and ordinary people who demonstrated extraordinary courage. We remember the families who said goodbye that morning without knowing it would be the last time. And we recognize those who have carried the physical and emotional wounds of that day in the years since.

We also remember the compassion, courage, sacrifice, and unity of people reaching beyond themselves to care for one another.

Twenty-five years have passed, but remembering still matters.

May we honor those we lost not only with our words today, but by choosing compassion, serving our neighbors, and caring for one another in the days ahead.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
