Your "clumsy" kid isn't careless - they might have proprioception issues. And that's a nervous system problem that's addressable. 🤕💚
Your child constantly: bumps into furniture, trips over nothing, falls way more than peers, drops things, struggles with coordination, gets hurt often, seems "unaware" of their body in space.
Teachers say "they're just clumsy" or "need to be more careful."

But they're TRYING. They just can't.
This is proprioception - your brain's ability to know where your body is in space without looking. Right now you know where your feet are without looking down. That's proprioception.
When proprioception is off: Brain isn't getting clear signals from body. Kid doesn't know exactly where limbs are. Can't gauge distance. Uses too much or too little force. Constantly bumping, tripping, falling.

It's not clumsiness. It's neurological.
Why it gets disrupted:
Proprioceptive signals travel through spine to brain. When spine is out of balance (very common in kids), signals get disrupted.
Common causes: Birth trauma (forceps, vacuum, C-section), learning to walk (hundreds of falls), growth spurts, poor posture from screens, sports impacts.

When upper cervical spine (C1-C2) is out of balance, it affects cerebellum and brainstem - which process proprioceptive information. Brain can't accurately process where body is in space.
How chiropractic helps:
Upper cervical adjustments improve brainstem/cerebellum communication. Full spine balance reduces interference in proprioceptive pathways. Nervous system regulation helps integrate sensory information.

What parents tell us: "My son was constantly bruised from bumping into everything. After care, his coordination improved dramatically."
Improved proprioception = better coordination, fewer falls, improved sports performance, more confidence.

Also support with: Heavy work activities (pushing, pulling, carrying, jumping, climbing), balance work, cross-body movements (crawling, swimming), barefoot time (feet have tons of proprioceptive sensors).
Foundation is nervous system. Address spine first, then build on it.

If your child:

Constantly bumps into things
Trips and falls more than peers
Struggles with coordination
Gets hurt often

Their proprioception needs support. That starts with nervous system.

They're not careless. Their brain isn't getting clear signals. When spine is balanced and NS supported, proprioception improves.

If your child struggles with chronic constipation: Only pooping every 3-5 days. Hard, painful movements. Stomach aches. Withholding because it hurts. Accidents because they're backed up. 💩💚

And maybe you have tried everything: More fiber, more water, probiotic gummies, prune juice, Miralax (pediatrician's go-to).

It helps temporarily. Then constipation comes back.
Know that there is a natural solution.

Here's what's actually happening:
Digestion is controlled by your nervous system. Nerves from lower spine (L1-L3) and sacrum control: bowel motility, muscle contractions in intestines, sphincter control, "urge to go" signals.

When your child's spine is out of balance, nerve signals to their colon get disrupted. Motility slows and constipation becomes chronic.

Plus: Digestion only works in parasympathetic mode ("rest-and-digest"). Kids stuck in sympathetic (stress from school, activities, schedule) can't digest properly even if they eat well.

Common causes of spinal imbalance in kids:
Birth trauma (even "normal" births affect sacrum)
Learning to walk (hundreds of falls = spinal impacts)
Heavy backpacks (lower spine imbalance)
Growth spurts (rapid growth creates temporary imbalance)
Sitting all day at school (poor posture affects sacral nerves)
Stress/anxiety (NS stuck in fight-or-flight, digestion shuts down)

How chiropractic helps:
Lower spine & sacral adjustments (gentle, age-appropriate) restore nerve flow to digestive organs. Nervous system regulation helps shift from sympathetic to parasympathetic. We address root cause - not masking with Miralax, fixing WHY gut isn't moving.

What parents tell us: "My son was only pooping once a week. We were about to see GI specialist. After adjustments, he goes daily."

"My daughter had been on Miralax for a year. Within 2 weeks of care, she didn't need it anymore."

Yes, also support with: Adequate water, whole foods with fiber, reduce dairy if sensitive, probiotics, regular movement, magnesium.

But these only work when nerve communication is clear.

You can change diet all you want. But if nerve flow to their gut is disrupted, motility won't improve long-term.

If your kid's constipation isn't resolving with diet changes, their nervous system needs to be checked.

Chronic constipation in kids is often nervous system problem, not food problem.

Drop 💩 if your kid struggles with chronic constipation.

If you're living on Excedrin and avoiding bright lights, know that there is hope in managing naturally. Chronic headaches and migraines are often nervous system issues - and we see it resolve everyday in our office. 🧠💚

You've tried everything:
-Pain meds (Excedrin, Tylenol, prescription meds)
-Botox injections every 3 months
-Avoiding triggers (impossible to avoid life, stress, hormones, weather)
-"Just dealing with it"

But headaches keep coming back. Migraines still knock you out for days. You're missing work, canceling plans, living in fear of the next one.

Here's what's actually causing your headaches:
Upper cervical imbalance (C1-C2): Your top two vertebrae sit at the base of your skull, affecting brainstem, blood flow to brain, and trigeminal nerve (major migraine trigger). When out of balance, migraine frequency increases.

Forward head posture: Every inch your head sits forward = 10 extra pounds of pressure on your neck. Chronic C1-C2 compression from screens, desk work.

Muscle tension: Tight neck/shoulder muscles create trigger points that refer pain to your head (feels like headache, source is your neck).

Nervous system dysregulation: Chronic stress keeps you in sympathetic mode. Your migraine threshold lowers (takes less to trigger one).

Hormonal fluctuations: Affect nervous system directly. When spine is balanced and NS regulated, hormonal headaches reduce.

Chiropractic addresses root causes:
-Upper cervical adjustments reduce brainstem pressure, improve blood flow, decrease migraine frequency/intensity
-Postural correction fixes forward head position
-Nervous system regulation shifts you out of chronic stress (raises migraine threshold)
-Muscle release work addresses trigger points
-Adjustments have anti-inflammatory effects

Research shows:
72% of migraine patients report significant improvement with chiropractic
Average 90% reduction in migraine frequency after 2 months consistent care
Many patients reduce or eliminate migraine medication

What patients tell us: "I was getting 15+ migraines a month. After upper cervical care, I'm down to 1-2. Life-changing."

"I've had chronic headaches for 10 years. ENT, neurologist, everyone said 'nothing we can do.' Chiropractic finally gave me relief."

If you're living on pain meds, avoiding lights, missing life because of headaches - your nervous system needs support, not just symptom management.

There is hope. There is healing. You don't have to live like this.

“You’re so lucky.”

No. I’m intentional with my health.
I get adjusted regularly (even when nothing hurting or going on).
I prioritize sleep (my NS needs it).
I move daily.
I eat real food.
I say no to what drains me.
Luck didn’t give me energy, pain-free movement, and the ability to keep up with my kids.

Consistent choices did. 💚

Health isn’t luck. It’s investment. It’s showing up for your body before crisis forces you to.

Chiropractic care isn’t what you do when you feel broken. It’s what you do to prevent breaking.

The next time someone says “you’re so lucky,” tell them the truth:

“I’m not lucky.
I take care of myself. And you can too.”
You get one body. Why are you not taking care of it?

Drop 💚 if you’re choosing intention over luck.

Nobody wants to talk about bedwetting after age 5, but so many families are dealing with it in secret.

You’ve tried everything. Limiting drinks after 6pm, waking them up twice a night, pull-ups they hate wearing, reward charts that make everyone feel bad when they don’t work.

Your pediatrician says “they’ll grow out of it” while you watch your child’s self-esteem crumble with every wet sheet.

They’re refusing sleepovers, camp, overnight trips. Carrying shame for something they literally cannot control.

Your child is not lazy and they’re not doing this on purpose. Their nervous system physically cannot send the signal from their bladder to their brain during sleep.

Bladder control - especially nighttime - is controlled by nerves from the lower spine (L2-L4) and sacrum. These nerves tell your child’s brain when their bladder is full during sleep so they can wake up.
When the lower spine or sacrum are out of balance (from birth trauma, learning to walk and falling hundreds of times, sports impacts, growth spurts), those nerve signals don’t transmit properly. The bladder fills, but the brain doesn’t get the message.

This is not a behavior problem. This is a sign of nervous system dysfunction.

Imagine your child waking up to dry sheets, consistently, saying yes to sleepovers without panic in their eyes. They are able to go to camp without you packing pull-ups. The relief on their face, confidence coming back, shame lifting.

We’ve had kids stop bedwetting within 2-3 weeks of starting care. Lower back and sacral adjustments restore nerve signals in which brain-bladder communication starts working. Bedwetting resolves naturally.

Your child deserves to sleep without shame. They deserve a nervous system that works the way it’s supposed to.

You might be thinking that plantar fascitis is just a foot issue, but did you know that your plantar fasciitis didn’t start in your foot? It started in your lower back.

You’ve tried orthotics, better shoes, stretching, foot massages, rest.
Nothing lasts.
Here’s why: You’re treating the symptom (foot), not the root cause (spinal compensation).

Your feet are at the END of the kinetic chain. Everything above - ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, spine - affects how they function.

The compensation cascade:
Lower back misalignment → Nerves from L4-S1 control your feet. When lumbar spine is misaligned, nerve signals are disrupted, muscle imbalances develop, arch collapses, plantar fascia compensates and inflames.

Pelvic tilt → One leg appears “shorter,” you bear more weight on one foot, that foot develops pain. Orthotics can’t fix the pelvic imbalance creating it.

Hip dysfunction → Gait compensates, feet work harder, abnormal forces break down tissue.

Knee issues → Altered walking mechanics, feet bear weight abnormally, chronic stress.

Your foot is just the last domino to fall.
Why treating just the foot doesn’t work?
Orthotics support the arch but don’t fix why it’s collapsing (nerve interference).
Better shoes cushion but don’t address compensation pattern.
Stretching provides temporary relief but spine keeps pulling it back.

How chiropractic addresses root cause:
✓ Lower back adjustments restore nerve flow to feet
✓ Sacral/pelvic alignment eliminates leg length discrepancy
✓ Hip adjustments restore proper gait
✓ Full kinetic chain assessment identifies where compensation started

When we fix the pattern UP THE CHAIN, foot pain resolves DOWN THE CHAIN.

Stop focusing on stretching and rolling out your foot. It’s time to address the body as a whole.

04/21/2026

Close your eyes for a second and notice your shoulders right now. Are they up by your ears? Is your upper back tight? Are you clenching without even realizing it?

“Carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders” - we say it casually. But your body doesn’t know the difference between metaphor and reality.

When you’re carrying emotional weight, your shoulders literally hold it.
When was the last time you felt truly relaxed? Shoulders-dropped-down, breathing-deeply, jaw-unclenched relaxed? If you can’t remember, you’re not alone.
It’s because your nervous system has been in fight-or-flight for so long that muscle tension has become your baseline.
Life stresses you out, your nervous system perceives threat - not a bear, but your brain doesn’t distinguish between “actual danger” and “overwhelming stress.” So it activates fight-or-flight response. Your body braces. Upper traps pull shoulders up. Shoulder blades pull forward. Neck tightens. You’re taking a protective posture, ready to fight or run, even though you’re just sitting at your desk. This was designed to be temporary. But when “threat” is constant (chronic stress that never resolves), your shoulders never get the signal to release.
They stay tight day after day and month after month.
You get massages- feel amazing for two days, then tension screams back. This is because massage released the muscle, but your nervous system is still in fight-or-flight.

Imagine waking up one morning and your shoulders feel light. You can take a full, deep breath without restriction.
You’re not bracing for impact anymore.
That’s what we’re after. Upper neck adjustments support your vagus nerve - the nerve that tells your body it’s safe to calm down. We help your nervous system shift out of chronic sympathetic mode so shoulders can finally release.

Your shoulders are trying to tell you something. They’re holding stress you haven’t processed, the worry you can’t control, and responsibility you’re carrying alone.

What would it feel like to put it down?

You know the pattern by heart- Burning pain, that urgent feeling, rushing for another round of antibiotics.
Relief for a few weeks, then you’re right back where you started. 💧

They just keep coming back... You’ve tried everything - cranberry everything, probiotics, drinking so much water you’re practically floating. Your doctor keeps saying “some women are just prone to them.”

You’re not “just prone” to anything and your UTI problem isn’t actually in your bladder. Your bladder is controlled by nerves from your lower back and sacrum.
These nerves tell your bladder when it’s full, control the muscles that help you fully empty, coordinate your pelvic floor, and regulate your immune response to bacteria.
When your lower spine or sacrum under tension, those nerve signals get disrupted.

And boom - infection. Your immune system is also controlled by your nervous system and when the nerve flow is compromised, your defense against bacteria is weaker. Antibiotics kill the bacteria, but they don’t answer why your bladder isn’t emptying fully or why your immune system keeps letting bacteria proliferate when it should handle it no problem.

Imagine this: Waking up without that constant anxiety of “is it starting again?” Going on vacation without packing antibiotics “just in case.” Living your life without constantly thinking about your bladder.

We restore nerve flow to your bladder through lower back and sacral adjustments. When nervous system function is restored, recurring UTIs stop. We have watched women who were getting UTIs every other month go years without one.

You deserve to stop living on antibiotics.
That’s what we’re here for.
