Congratulations to Marcia Taylor - our โ€œCourageโ€ Great 8 Champion of the month. Marcia was nominated by her peers because she always goes above & beyond, she is a great team player & she ensures our community is clean. She is helping out others all day, no mattet which department it is. Marcia is always willing to give a hug, which we know is the best medicine! Marcia has worked at Silverado since March 2025 as a housekeeper
Outside of work, Marcia enjoys going to church and watching true crime stories. She also enjoys spending time with her children!
Marcia enjoys working at Silverado because she loves the residents & staff. The highlight of her day is putting a smile on the residents & staff's faces.

At Silverado, the best part of a backyard cookout isn't really the burgers. It's the people gathered around the grill, the stories swapped between bites, and the laughter that fills the afternoon.

Congratulations are in order for our employee of the month- Kara Drake ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐ŸŒŸ
Kara was nominated by her peers for always having a positive attitude and going above and beyond. She was recognized for taking good care of her residents and making sure their needs were met. Kara has been with Silverado as a caregiver since July 2025. She enjoys working at Silverado not only for the type of care provided to the residents, but also because of the purpose the residents give to her. Kara said, "they truly make me feel loved and appreciated".
Outside of Silverado, Kara loves spending time with loved ones, going to sporting events, & attending concerts. She also enjoys going on vacation, especially to the beach.

In every Silverado community, remembrance is something we understand deeply. We know that the people we love are never truly gone when we keep their stories alive. There's something timeless about spotting a lucky penny on the ground. For many in our community, it brings back memories of childhood wishes, coins saved in jars, and the simple joy of believing a little luck was waiting just for them.

Today, on National Lucky Penny Day, we're celebrating the little moments that make us smile. A found penny, a shared laugh, a familiar song. Luck isn't always about chance. Sometimes it's about being surrounded by people who care.
